Help Us Create The Best Feedback Possible -- What Do You Want To See?

Feedback's Question Of The Week

It's a new year and that can only mean one thing: Makeovers! We think it's time we give the ol' Feedback a face-lift. But before we take the show under the knife we need your input. What do you want to see change? What kinds of guests do you want to see? (Developers, publishers, personalities, me?) What do you want to learn each week? (more news, more reviews, more feedback from you.)

While you're thinking about changes you'd like to see implemented, read this reimagining of John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address from January 20, 1961. Feedback!

"We observe today not a victory of Feedback but a celebration of Feedback— symbolizing an end, as well as a beginning — signifying renewal, as well as change. For I have sworn before you and Almighty Master Chief the same solemn oath our forebears prescribed nearly a century and three quarters ago.

And so, my fellow Feedbackers, ask not what your Feedback can do for you — ask what you can do for your Feedback."

Let the comment section below be your voice. Help us create the Feedback you've always wanted.

More than anything I do not think the show needs to change, rather just evolve as the fan base grows.

The show is funny that you are giving feedback...on feedback you have already received for your feedback on the gaming industry. The catch 22 of it all is that the show needs good feedback to produce a good show.

So rather than always having a gaming developer on the show where your getting your always getting the process of gaming development (which is great and you should always keep that), you can try to have maybe a representative from a publisher to give a look at the process of selling the great games we play.

People from Marketing, Sales, Developer Communication, whoever decides when a demo comes out, what goes into making a beta public (versus private), Social Marketing, Product Development. Also, asking about how much freedom do developers have, and details that create priorities for marketing certain games. How they would deal with failure or low sales? Who approves projects for gaming? Their priorities now, having the ability to go to a digital format rather than hard copy purchase in stores for their products. How they personally deal with development delays, pricing, promos, etc etc. Who manages release dates for content regarding a certain game?

Being a product manager myself, I honestly would like to know how the gaming world differs from my own profession.

Not everyone can be an artist or a creator of worlds. Like me I think people would like to know what it takes to brings games to the public and the though process when your trying to balance risk versus reward as a publisher.

First i want to say, Feedback is great and the variety of topics covered from week to week is always enjoyable. But there could be other interesting directions to take the show.
First - improve the studio. Its boring to look at and needs posters, more color, a feed ticker or something.
Second - i think the topics discussed each week could be more current. Usually Feedback consists of discussion about past games, or future games, future projects, or future developments. But i think topics should focus more on current games and what the games are bringing to the videogame world at this moment.
Third - add some game play videos from Blair, Jessica, Leah, Morgan and/or any other guests and talk about the game play. Showing examples of game play and discussing details within games can make Feedback more current.

I'd like to see Mr. Johnson's Feedback intro prior to every episode.
And yes, having The Sess coming once a month or something would be great. I miss his obscure references.
Also, pick my question for Fan feedback when you're giving stuff away.

Haha, are you guys running out of ideas? If you don't have any new games to talk about, I'd suggest talking about older games. Just pretend like you guys are English professors, but instead of analyzing an old book, you could analyze a video game.

I think that would be neat. :D

    - I love seeing developers on the show.
    - Have Adam come back as a guest at least once a month.
    - I miss the long discussions about video games and hearing the reasons behind the scores. I realize that you try to make a point that its not about a score, However when a games review shows heavy on the negatives and revives a 4-5 or the reverse happens it seems to cause confusion.I feel the game discussions helped clear up some of the reasons score did not reflect what was written in the review.
    - If the other reviewers agree or disagree with a review and the reasons why. Some players may agree with the perspective of cretin reviewers and can help people make educated purchases.

Feedback needs it's own RSS feed, Revolving guests and hosts, and for the actual G4 network, needs to be part of the daily news cycle.

I have to agree with everyone about Sess...his enthusiasm for the industry rivals none. He brings up very pertinent points and has rapport with big names in the industry. Feedback is at its best without d*ck and fart jokes. The more people that are brought into the panel from game studios, the better. It's excellent hearing the inner thoughts of those that are responsible for our favorite games.

I would love to see it more like how some sports shows on ESPN are but with current video game news. Shows such as Sportsnation and Numbers never lie. They have current headlines from the past week or days and discuss them among the panel and make fun games out of it. Discussions of if you should buy the game or not, comparing it to other forms of media and pop culture. Indie games picks, or game of the day, etc. You can also have experts in the field to chime in with their thoughts. Answering Twitter, FB, and forum questions are a must.

keep bringing in developers. so great to hear this kind of stuff from inside the industry itself. I would also like to request more guest spots from Adam Sessler. Blair is fine, but I miss Adam's unique insights.

I think more talk about the actual games would be a nice boost. Sometimes your discussions on video games and their good and bad qualities help me decide if I will try them. I also liked the rumor game you guys played. I like when you have guests on the show , but do have to get all philosophical with your questions? Every time you have a guest why do you ask them whats the question they are asked the most, which is always how to I get into the industry. I have listened to that question be answered like 8 or 9 times o the show. I guess what im saying is I would like more video game talk. You guys will put a video game in the description of the episode of feedback than you barely talk about that game if at all. on a side note less leah jackson because she skipped all the dialogue in skyrim lol jk

I like Feedback just the way it is, but it would be awesome to see someone on the show from the Bioware/Mass Effect team!

I think having developers ask questions to themselves would be somthing I would like to see. What does Kevin Levine think of the way David Jaffe approaches story telling. Those sort of things is what drives the gaming industry.
