I'm more than sure they are all back by now. Although I don't play WoW, I certainly don't play SWTOR anymore.

WoW lost 100k, but I'm sure TOR lost more than that. Hell, 2 million copies were sold, only 1.7 million subbed after the first month. That's 300k that thought the game wasn't worth it. About 15%...

About the 100k lost subs for WoW, they were reported before SWTOR's release. So that would mean at the next quarterly statement we'll see the effect of SWTOR on their numbers. The 100k at best would be those that bailed between Dec 20th and Dec 31st. In that perspective, losing 100k subs in 11 days is more that just a "drop in the bucket". Especially considering that brings their total loss to 1.8 million in about 11 months.

Umm, WoW lost TWO MILLION subs in a year not 100 000...you need to make that clear and in no way is that like losing 5 cents.

Why don't you post the REAL numbers of loses from the 2011 year, instead of Q4 losses. You can also say, that the loses we're low, due to all the idiots who went and bought the 1 Year Subscption, that Blizzard put into place before the launch of SWTOR. The REAL Losses will come in 2012, after all of those 1 Year Subs have expired, GW2 and Tera and SWTOR are all out, and running, in 1 year not even Panda Bears will help Blizzard as they will lose half of there customers. Oh and BTW.. Total losses in 2011 for BLizzard was 1.2 Million Subs gone.

Not surprised to hear about the WoW subscription losses. The game's population already peaked over a year ago as I recall. It will continue to lose subscribers to games like SWTOR, GW2, TSW, etc. It has had its fantastic run, and I'm sure their next MMO wil also be stupid popular. SWTOR, in my mind, is now just a superior game in nearly every way to WoW aside from the difficulty of their end game operations.

Blizzard always releases false sub numbers, even the meta has been off before.
I would say this number will increase drastically regardless and as soon as TSW and GW2 hit it won't be pretty, expect to see a big change in price or business model and adverts of WoW right before GW2 releases.

Having Earthrise fall is a fail in us, not them. That is the type of game we need to aspire to... not WoW. Sadly, I did not even know of their downfall and I have been playing Star Wars (which is what I call SWTOR) since its been out!
However, the raids/operations are TOO EZMODE in SWTOR.

They'll probably release TSW on, like, the 25th April at 12:01AM just to annoy everyone who said it was going to be the 24th April
Though to be honest I'll be amazed (and happy/impressed) if they stick to their targeted April release date.

WoW has been plateauing lately, and hearing about a loss of subscribers doesn't surprise me. When they started including things like "unlimited trial to level 20" and things like that, I could tell the direction it was heading. Not to say it will die, because it'll take more than 100k subscribers to do that, but it's getting to that point where they're not gaining that massive group each year, and they'll need something monumental to propel them forward. Less dated graphics engine, who knows, maybe free-to-play isn't off the table for them in the distant future: with all the addons and goodies they sell currently, wouldn't be surprised if they ramped it up even further and went free-to-play.
Worked for LOTRO - an mmo that wasn't doing to well in the least. Imagine what it'd do for one that is.
Personally, I moved on ages ago, and am enjoying a different mmo now.
