Wednesday! Wednesday! Wednesday! Today we have a Monster Feedback for you to demolish. This week your trucks, I mean panelists, are Morgan Webb, Stephen Johnson and SPECIAL GUESTS David Jaffe, and Tim Schafer. Yes, we have them both in studio to answer your questions! Oh and they discussed their games, Twisted Metal and Double Fine Happy Action Theater.
The AUDIO MP3 of this episode of FEEDBACK is available here: Right-click and Save.
Some of the topics Tim and David discussed include:
- What would 12-year-old you think about where you are now?
- The idea that movies and television are dying out.
- Can Point and Click games see a resurgence?
- Both give advice on how to break into the gaming industry.
- Find out how Tim Schafer and David Jaffe met.
- David Jaffe details his dreams of making a Kingdom Hearts with Marvel characters.
I know what you're thinking, "OH MY GOD THIS WAS THE BEST EPISODE EVER!" Feel free to leave compliments in the comment section.

Hey FEEDBACK team if there are haters out there about your show - you do a great job, I miss Adam but Blair, Morgan, & all the rotation of guests are great, and how the show has evolved is wonderful.
Great Work!

Great Job as always,
It's great to see people that are excited to talk about their favorite stuff

Personally, I love David Jaffe. He is such a breath of fresh air when it comes to game developers, his crassness didnt bother me at all. Go Jaffe! Lovin the new game, man! :D

Kingdom Hearts with Marvel characters, OH MY GOD, BECKY!

I know Jaffe is some kind of gaming guru but in spite of that he was a little creepy. Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I still think that at a certain age people should have SOME amount of class. It is almost as though his mental age got stuck at 15 or something.

Great feedback. So much knowledge in that room. Oh and nice shoes morgan, and i don't have an opinion on your tube top. Did i do that right?

Webb, not a good host.

I gotta say I'm always happy to see Morgan Webb on Feedback. I used to watch x-play when it first came out, but now I don't have TV. Her cynical humor is great, and her ability to wade through the BS in the game industry sits well with me.
I'm surprised to see so many haters dissing Webb, and saying she isn't a gamer. Pretty sure most of that is aimed at her being a woman, and the guys complaining don't understand women.
Keep up the good work, Morgan.

Oh god not this guy again... Tim Schafer

funny thing is with puzzles in games today i find that i over complicate the puzzles in my mind and i never thought about it until now but it must be from the years of playing video games and doing puzzles that were mindbending as a kid and so i never look for the simple solution and when i see the shiny ring or whatever the blatent clue is in games today i always have a momen't of oh well that was simpler than i thought it was going to be and then i feel dumb where as in the old days id rack my brain for hours and finaly figure it out and have that ah ha moment and be filled with joy that i figured it out and have that sense of acomplishment that the game make'rs didn't stump me and that they would have to throw something harder at me to stop me in a way it's the same with boss fights now as well to me it felt like develipers didn't want u to finsh the game they wanted to get u stuck or make it to hard to finish the game as a direct challenge as if saying ha ha bet u cant do this ware today it feel more like there holding your hand and saying come on little fellow u can do it see it not that hard ill help u and makes u feel dumb in the proses i just hope to see more games strike a balence of fun and chalanging but not so frustrating but not to much hand holding and talking down to at the same time hopefully as time moves forward they can hit that sweet spot

Am I the only one who find's Jaffe to be crass and unsettling?

It may be the fact that she has a hard time forming complete sentences and has no personality at all, also having a host with even the slightest sense of humor for a radio show might be a good idea.
Morgan is the only reviewer on G4 that I really don't believe even plays half the games she reviews.
I can accept that they pay her to read a teleprompter on X-play but this is a radio show and someone with any type of interviewing skills would be better.
For the love of god, Blair (preferably) or Adam, even Nichole is better than this ditsy airhead.

I had a dream where I rode on Tim Schafer's back as he flew through space.
We ate ice cream. I was sad when I woke up.

Ok, yeah, this is pretty amazing.

I swear to god, one more week of Morgan Webb hosting the show and I'm never coming back to this website!

Morgan and Stephen why cant this be the Feedback panel every week.

Puzzle elements have been dumbed down so as not to enrage people or discourage them from purchasing a game, so much to the point that they are no longer true puzzles. The solutions are either so simplistic or bludgeoned into your face. There is no sense of accomplishment.
I've always had a theory that this has to do with entropy. The scientific theory states: the world itself is always moving toward a state of disorder. I think the rule applies to more than just thermodynamics. People are getting dumber, or at least getting shorter fuses. If something isn't happening instantaneously, they are bored. I hate to sound negative, but I'm a firm believer that the amazing movie 'Idiocracy' is not a comedy, but a documentary from the future.
Some games do a good job. Portal has. The Clank puzzle in A Crack in Time were also challenging. Much of the downloadable indie stuff, like Braid, Limbo, and Trine, take a lot of cues form old games, including challenging puzzles that require some thought. Most of Uncharted 3 was fairly simplistic, but I did enjoy the room with the light and statue body parts. That one took a while, and I felt good after it.

This Feedback is very boring to be honest. Morgan let them talk and ramble on from the subject at hand. She's a great panelist, but a horrible host.
