The release of Diablo 3 is getting closer and closer, people. During a financial conference call held moments ago, Activision Blizzard displayed a slide indicating that the company is aiming for a Diablo 3 release in Quarter 2 2012. What that means in gamer speak is that Diablo 3 is intended to be released by June 30, 2012.
The real release date, however, is still "when it's ready," of course. As soon as we know anything more about the release date of Diablo 3, we promise to tell you.

This is getting old but I give Blizzard this last q2 if its not I'm out and I will think this game is just a myth and it should not take age or decades to make a game thats why you have patches and sequels. The game looks ready but some minor bugs that you guys probably already fixed in patch 12 so... Blizz if you read these comments release or lose another 100,000 players or customers each delay and we will remember the delays Jay.

So far they're 0 for 2 on their shots.

I agree with the comments here...yes, don't release a game until it's ready...I get that but don't freakin' announce the game and then give multiple release dates SPANNING YEARS to your fans. I'm in Banking and I bet if you look back at Blizz's quarterly 10Q's at the end of 2012, you'll see they released D3 when they needed a bump to their bottom line. Why release it in a quarter when other games are keeping your profits up? I honestly think it has less to do with "is the game ready for release" and more of "let's wait and wait until we think D3 will be the hottest thing on the shelf." Disappointed in you Blizz....

I'm still hooked on Dark Souls I havent even started with Batman Asylum, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, FInal Fantasy 13-2 and Im getting KoA today after work. as for D3... "I'll get to it when I get to it".

The main reason Blizzard does this - to keep the game at the top of everyone's mind. Its like that saying bad press is still press.

I don't care when it comes out, as long as it's good. What's up with these gamers acting like they DESERVED to have the game come out sooner. It's ready when it's ready. What don't you get about that? You can't eat a cake before it's finished baking.

Who cares at this point? When was this game announced? Was it the same time as starcraft 2? I don't remember. So many good games have come out between the time they started this game and it STILL not being out. Hell the whole Uncharted trilogy developed and was put out before this game. Were they not quality games? Halo, Alan Wake, FFXIII, GOW3, GoW3, etc. Blizzard's idea of quality seems skewed at this point. I'm tired of waiting for this game, and quite frankly I just won't have the time to play it when it ever does come out.

Honestly this game should be boycotted. Gamers need to give a message to bliz. don't announced a game then tease us with it for years and delay after delay.
This game cannot possibly be that monumental that this time frame justifies.
SKipping it personally. I'll just pick up the diablo 3 ripoff for vita which will likely come out first anyways

im honestly not even excited about this game anymore, i predict StarCraft HotS will come out before D3....im more excited about Torchlight 2 to be honest

Beta 12 was definitely solid in my opinion, some minor bugs but no major ones. Mostly just refinements are needed at this point. Release should be soon... Biggest bugs I saw were some achievements not working, and the Profile doesn't calculate your playtime per character correctly. Other than that great beta.

i don't get my hopes up for these types of things. Until I see the game on store shelf I don't care what date they are planning to release it on.

yeah i already went off on the forums about this when Mike said that, it pisses me off cause the friends i could have played this game with are not even interested in it anymore :/ cause its taking for ever
they dont want to put it out in march either cause ME3 will over shadow them , thats another reason

You know why they are dragging their feet with a release date ? It's so they can RE-adjust the game(read total makeover)so it will be more like SKYRIM,& DA:O.There is a lot riding on this Franchise,& Blizzard doesn't want to come out looking like a bunch of clueless dinosaurs.
