Resident Evil: Revelations Sleeves With Typos Can Be Replaced

Resident Evil: Revelations Box Art Typo -- Capcom Botches Packaging Once Again

You might have missed this if you don't follow the Twitters too closely, but Capcom's Nintendo 3DS release this week, Resident Evil: Revelations, arrives with an unfortunate typo on the game case's spine that reads: "Resident Evil: Revelaitons." And yes, it's just a typo, not some odd (and incorrectly spelled) hint toward a coming cross-franchise effort featuring characters from RE and Professor Layton.

The publisher is aware of the error, and promises in a Capcom Unity post that it will only be a problem in the initial North American shipment of the game. Spelling-obsessed fans who simply cannot abide seeing the typo on their game shelf can politely request a replacement sleeve from Capcom customer service; call them at 650.350.6700 or e-mail them at accounts@capcom.com.

Sorry guys, you keep giving me "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" errors made me think the post hadn't posted. I did not intend to post four times but maybe you could provide us with a web page that better indicates whether our posts are actually posting or not.

This is the same Capcom who released "Okami" on the Wii with an image on the front of the package that included an IGN watermark. Same genius, different day...

Someone clearly doesn't care enough about their job to proof read what they type.

I wouldnt want it replaced. Its stuff like this that becomes the rare stuff that people want years down the line. Normally people pay more for the mistakes.

Why would you want it replaced? It's printed in perfectly acceptable Manglish.
