Hideo Kojima sure does seem to love himself some Twitter, what with him using it so frequently to send out images and info for the various things that he's working on. One of those things being worked on right now is a PlayStation Vita port of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
Kojima shared a look at the game running on an actual Vita handheld yesterday, and then followed that tweet with a few more talking about how the game makes use of the portable device's rear touchpad. Players will be able to slice enemy throats by making a quick swipe across the touchpad. Another detail is revealed as well, but the explanation isn't as clear.
"If you pinch out left & right on touch panel behind w/ 1st person camera, you can stretch up yourself," Kojima writes. It sounds like he's saying you'll be able to peer over surfaces and around corners while in first-person view? Maybe? Either way, it's cool to know that the HD Collection will make use of the Vita's unique features.

You realize you could already do that right?
Look around corners. You just have to know the controls.

I really don't want them changing game mechanics of old games that are considered classics and don't really need it, but does this mean I have to buy another copy of Metal Gear Solid HD just to play it on my Vita? Is that all the transfarring does? I thought I would be able to play it on the Vita and PS3 if I bought just one copy.

Is Kojima really working on MGS5 or was that a rumor?
