Resident Evil 6 Demo Coming To Xbox 360 First, With Dragon's Dogma Purchase

Resident Evil 6 Release Date Announced; Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

We're all good and excited for the November 20 release of Resident Evil 6, right? How would you like to try the game before then? Perhaps as soon as July? You'll have that option, provided that you're an Xbox 360 user who is willing to buy Capcom's action-RPG Dragon's Dogma on May 22.

The publisher confirms that Xbox 360 users will get early access to the demo with the purchase of the May release. The demo will be available for those folks starting on July 3. PlayStation 3 users will have to wait until September 4 for that demo access, provided that they too purchase Dragon's Dogma.

Wait, what? Yes: PS3 users will still need to buy the game to have less early "early access" to the RE6 demo. No, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Capcom reportedly described the move to Boxden (via CVG) as "a strategic business decision." Which realy doesn't tell us anything more, does it?

Virtua Fighter 5 Final showdown is coming out on PSN first and XBOX360 the next day. So stop accusing MS of nickel-diming when Sony is doing the exact same thing. Do your research people. Besides "SONY SUCKS". That's why they got hacked :D lol.

now if there is a thing going off between capcom and sony and capcom dus this kinda of thing to make sony jelous not only that they pissing players off who only has a ps3... capcom? selfish much?
if capcom hates sony then do sumthing that wouldnt effect the fact that we gotta wait for the res6 demo cus capcom in the end only end up cheating on sony further more why have to be another game to get the demo? only care about money much? since the demo should be free why cant they just add it to the xbox shop better yet just freaking allow the demo to be on the xbo and ps3 shop to download and stop screwing around capcom i hate you... but at the veay least make it so us ps3 users when we do FINALLY get it that we dont have to buy a game we dont want just to get the demo i mean i really wanna play it but i dont wanna buy a 360 and that game i dont want just because you retards of capcom just cant add the demo to the shop and on the ps3... after i do get res6 i hope u fail big time capcom or start making things fair.........btw if any1 else is on my side show ur support we might be able to change this if your not on my side then dont say anything at all.

Considering the Resident Evil series had its inception on Playstation, there is no reason for it to be showing favor towards Microsoft. But then again, this is all Microsoft has going for them. While Sony is giving PS3 owners exclusive content in games, Microsoft is making deals that require people to buy crappy games in order to play demos for good games.

I really do think it's Capcom's way of boosting sales with Xbox owners. Because throughout the years, even before the 360 or PS3, Sony has always been the leader in Capcom sales. So this was probably their way to make sure 360 gamers are just as excited about a new RE game as they already know PS3 fans are.

That's Capcom's way of letting Sony know that they aren't happy with the way they've been treating them lately. So they decided to sleep with Microsoft in hopes to get Sony jealous...

..."a strategic business decision." Correct me if I'm wrong (again), but what will they gain by giving 360 owners an earlier access than the PS3 owners? (Most likely rage, as usual) Is it a way to hype up certain console users for their game or is it an act of penance for their lack of exclusive characters in STxT (though I doubt that).

Anyway, I still don't agree with it. (They should get it both at the same time)

    IMO of course.

I'm so sick of Microsoft and their very detrimental impact on the gaming industry. The nickel-and-diming bastards. When will people wake up and stop funding that monstrosity of a company?

Also, this in no way should effect anybody's preference of platform or purchase if they're any kind of sensible person. If they were looking forward to and can afford Dragon's Dogma then they'll buy it--that simple. I haven't met a person yet who was like, "oh, Microsoft gets all these demos and DLCs a month early so I ought to shell out hundreds of dollars just to gain access to them....durrrhurt."

I don't see the reasoning behind these limited exclusives one bit. And a conglomerate corporation asking for a hand-out before we've even tried the game is beyond unethical. I'll have no part in it, and I suggest everyone else just wait until the normal demo release instead of compulsive buying. That's why we're in the mess we are economy-wise.

I detest Capcom for agreeing to these terms, they won't get a dime out of me from now on.

thats kinda lame if you ask me. resident evil came out on the PSX before any other system, so i think that PS3 owners should get first dibs on the early access. that would make more sense. its whatever though... im more interested in RE: Operation Raccoon City, anyway.

A very stupid decision since the 360 is viewed so poorly, but just goes to show that M$ is getting desperate. They can't hold an exclusive worth a damn so now they have to buy demos and DLC. Lol.

Doesn't matter to me. 360 has no value worth adding to my huge collection and I'm not interested in the Dogma game either. Honestly I wasn't too thrilled with the FPS spin they put on RE4 and 5, so this will likely wait for a markdown before I try it.

I would be pissed if I hadn't planned on buying Dragon's Dogma already.
For those gamers that are uninformed check out gameplay of DD on youtube it looks awesome.
