A lot of to-be-released video games will try to build hype by hosting booze-soaked parties or secret space shuttle flights to Venus. Not Darksiders 2. It opted for a slideshow instead. Sure, the slides were about the personifications of Death, and publisher THQ also showed off some solid game footage that essayed a sequel improving hugely on its predecessor. But first, a slide show.
The great Miguel Concepcion witnessed it all, and describes it thusly:
"Among the slides, the medieval art and interpretations of Death have always been my favorite, the kind of images that made it hard for me to sleep as a child. This lengthy presentation was complemented by a trailer featuring Darksiders’ version of Death Photoshopped in various works of art accentuating how he’s never to far from human events. Still, we were here for actual gameplay and THQ subsequently presented a live hands-off demo, albeit an unnecessarily loud one."

I enjoyed Darksiders it was one of my favorite new IP of this generation. Can't wait to see what they do with the Darksiders name

I don't know this series but do not let Miguel Concepcion review the game, he ruined his reviewing reputation with the Crysis 2 review and his Cons that no one cares about which ends up making the game a 4/5.

I saw the demo on xplay and it looks like they just mashed up bits from God of War with elements from the original Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy (wall running and the like).

"Hopping"? I probably need more puzzles. :(

I'm hopping for less puzzles and more fighting.
