Capcom has announced Resident Evil Revelations will be getting a price cut. The title was originally set for $49.99, higher than most 3DS titles, since it came on a 4GB card rather than 2GB. "After weeks of effort" Capcom was able to lower the price to $39.99. According to the Capcom blog, "Revelations has enough content to warrant the $49.99 price."
Now that it's cheaper, will you be picking up Resident Evil Revelations when it's released on February 7th?

I'll wait for gold edition.

I was getting it anyway and all the reviews were already raving about it (so I don't know where these other commenters get off).
Definitely a day-one buy now.

The controls mimic the older Resident Evil games aside from health and inventory. This is just how these games felt. Switching between guns is right on the d-pad which feels very nice. The demo actually felt like the Resident Evil I love and will make an amazing 3DS game. Anyone who enjoys older Resident Evil games will love Revelations. The scanning system is the only downside but from what the demo had to offer it was obvious when it was supposed to be used. You're not scanning everything like in metroid.

I played the Demo of Resident Evil Revelations and I have to say, EVEN TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THAT IT WAS A DEMO, I wasn't impressed. I wasn't scared until something fell from the ceiling. The controls are a bit..."clunky" to say the least even though you can choose between two options. The ability to change the color of the targeting beam was cool but other than that, it felt almost like Metroid Prime Hunters because of the "scanning" aspect...don't even get me started on trying to swap through the inventory just to get out a couple of grenades...I'm going to pass on this one.

I thought it was "Resident Evil: Revelaitons"?

With all of the price cuts going into effect mere weeks after games are released nowadays I certainly wasn't expecting a pricecut BEFORE a game released! It kind of reminds me of Spaceballs "How can we watch the movie, we're still in the middle of making it!"

Honestly I think report caught up with this capcom that people are NOT going to pay 50.00 for a 3DS game.. I may consider it now..

Thanks to amazon even if they didn't price cut the game I would still have gotten it for 10 dollars cheaper. Overall though I'm glad they're price cutting, this game did not look like it was worth 50 dollars.
