Aliens: Colonial Marines has been delayed and is now expected to debut this fall. Sega originally hoped to release Colonial Marines this spring. This is genuinely sad news for some of us in the office who can't wait to play Aliens: Colonial Marine's 4-player co-op, like myself.
Fall 2012 is shaping up to be just as jam-packed with games as fall 2011 did. Do you plan on picking up Aliens: Colonial Marines?

4-player co-op must take some time to work out the kinks...especially if they're also doing split-screen ala Borderlands...I STILL BELIEVE IN YOU, GEARBOX!!

I don't trust Gearbox or Sega with this franchise. Really wish they could get Sierra back on their feet and making this since AVP2 for the PC was about where the Aliens franchise peaked. Hopefully the delay will give them enough time to make this game tolerable.

The original ship the aliens were on was pretty far away from the colony, so it's possible it survived the explosion.

maybe its been too long since i have seen the film...but i coulda swore when the atmospheric generator fell down and went boom, it pretty much wiped out the colony...sooooo how are they remedying that fact into the narrative?

So I guess Duke Nukem will be guest-starring as a marine in this one then...
Seriously though, I'm mainly just interested in the co-op aspect so might still get it when it finally does come out.

Wonder if the delay has something to do with the release of Prometheus? Maybe they're hoping the movie will help raise more interest in the game

They might as well scrap this game, cause when the time comes for its release, there will be very little interest for it. Nobody will care.. well i shouldn't say nobody but the numbers will be low. And besides, aliens are old news and are boring. With the same old dark beat up instillation's, spooky atmospheric lighting and very predictable alien attack from vent shaft on unsuspecting (red shirt) marine. I'm not going to play this game.

Depends what else comes out around the same time, I only have so much cash to spare and Gearbox's last FPS Duke Nukem (I know it was what others developed but they released it) didn't leave me with the warm and fuzzies.

Aliens: Infestation is pretty fun if you really need a xeno fix.
