Each episode, we set aside time to answer your questions, no matter how serious, personal, or even topical they are. Next week will be no different. Our game of the week will be Final Fantasy 13-2 but you can ask any gaming related question you think of. If I choose your question you'll receive a special mystery prize!

Its obvious that game companies want to eliminate used game sales so they can put that money back into their development (which I firmly believe in) - as well as their profits. I, too, would rather game devs get the money they deserve for putting out a quality title than a 3rd party retailer or reseller making a serious profit off of buying and selling of used games - sometimes for 5-10 dollars LESS than retail. That being said, I think companies are looking in the wrong direction to combat this problem as there are many gamers who will not adopt into having to buy an online pass OR support the notion of banning the use of a "used" game on more than one console.
But I have a solution, and its simple. Lower the MSRP of the game. Instead of $60, make it $30. Make it ACCESSIBLE to more people by lowering the price. More people will buy NEW if games have that price point.
In saying all that, Do you think that lowering the cost of a newly released game will not only make it affordable for MORE gamers to buy it off the shelf, but also help eliminate 3rd party resellers from making huge profits off of selling used games?

Game developers and producers have been doing everything they can to hinder used game sales, for example the implementation of online passes. Now reports suggest that the Xbox 720 will have some sort of anti-used game technology. Do you think that these game companies will eventually succeed in their mission to stop people from selling or trading-in their used games?

Final Fantasy XIII-2 did everything to fix the problems that critics hated about Final Fantasy XIII but yet they give a worst score that makes no sense?

When is enough, enough? With the new system rumors I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on the increase in graphics that will accompany the decrease in game play for the first wave of games for these consoles. I remember just a few years ago I was more excited to play Persona 4 on PS2 than I was for what was out for 360. Are we heading for a year of gaming limbo?

Now that the Chobot has been announced as a voice actor for Mass Effect 3 the question must be posed if she will attempt to romance herself when playing? Also, how does it feel to Jessica that thousands, if not millions, of video gamers (possibly including some of her co-workers) will attempt to romance her ? How does Blair feel about this?

Just found out Jessica Chobot is in Mass Effect 3. SoooOoOoO1 excited for her and wanted to express my congratulations. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to ask a question. Will your inclusion in the game take you out of the experience or do you think it will make you jump up and down and dance every time you hear your own voice in what could possibly be the best video game trilogy this generation?

What's your favorite time of the day, week, month and/or year to play video games?
While I'm busy enough that it's a blessing to have time to play them at all regardless of "when" it is, I certainly have times that I enjoy it more than others independent of what game I'm playing. While most Friday nights I'm off doing something else, I have to say that a Friday night to myself is probably my favorite time to play video games. There's something about it that reminds me of my younger days when I could just kick back, relax and release all of the stress from the past week progressing through a game. It didn't matter if it was by myself or with a few of my closest friends; whatever happened that week (whether the nerdy girl in my Japanese class turned me down for a date or I got a "B" on a test I should have gotten an "A" on) just evaporated. Even better was in the dead of winter as I hid away from the harsh mid-western weather and immersed myself in a game new or old.
So how about you guys? Is there a time that you really love playing games over another or has reviewing/reporting on games for a living just forced you to take that enjoyment when you can find it?

Japan recently have seemed to be very hit and miss with trying to appeal to a western audience with their games. By and large it seems the games never intended to be played by westerners are the ones that succeed. Now in an effort to capture the west they are shipping out loved franchises to teams with some history in the field but not making the same sort of game. Sometimes it works like Dead Rising 2, sometimes a million posts tell you that the world has just ended because dante has white hair. Would you be interested to play the next game in the Demon Souls series if it was made by Lionhead, or a obsidian made Final Fantasy?

As the Final Fantasy series continues, it seems as if they are increasingly alienating the US segment of the population with the game-play and story. Do you ever see Square-Enix allowing a developer in the US or Canada a chance at developing a game?

Dear Feedback, Since the game of the Week is Final Fantasy, this question seemed fitting. Why does it seem most game companies seem to continue game franchises rather then making something fresh. I cant seem to imagine games like Call of Duty, Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Warcraft and MANY others series ever coming to end. Is it better for companies to make a game people know and enjoy rather then making something new and risking a game failure?
