Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and CD Projekt RED have announced the release date for the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. You'll be able to jump in to one of the best PC role playing games of last year on April 17. In The Witcher 2, players get to step in to the shoes of Geralt, a professional monster slayer who was framed for assassinating the King of Temeria.
The Xbox 360 version of the game isn't a straight port from the PC version. Rather, it was adapted for the console experience and will feature significant enhancements from the original version. The 360 version includes more than three hours of new content, gameplay and story elements. It also marks the first appearance of The Witcher series on a console.
I have to say that when I first played The Witcher 2 on my PC I was blown away by how absolutely beautiful the world looked. If you've seen pictures from the 360 version of the game you can probably attest that it is definitely one of the best looking console games yet. But on top of the stunning graphics, The Witcher 2 offers an amazing gameplay and story experience.
With that in mind, will you be picking up The Witcher 2 for the Xbox 360, or do you already have the PC version of the game?

HELL NO why would i buy a graphicaly dialed back version of the game that comes with all the dlc to date only to have to pay for the new dlc when it comes out for the 360. The pc version is just fine and the dlc is free. any1 who is hanging for the experiance on the 360 will be greatly dissapointed. Don't Get me wrong i adore the games to the ponit where i have played them through multiple times to get the different stories and belive the convert to console is not going to be worth it. sure it will net Project cd more revinue in sales but it will take to much from the game play experiance.

I'd like a little more info as to what "adapted for the console experience" means.
Graphically tuned down so the console can handle it... fine. Content altered or changed for fear some parent will freak out when they buy their 12 year old an M rated game... not fine.

I think this is probably one of the most unanticipated titles to be released this year. But I do not fall into that category. I remember hearing about this months ago, getting excited, and waiting to hear more. I already know how beautiful the game is on PC. I hope they dialed it back a notch or used some magic to keep the frame rate consistent on the console. I plea to CD Projekt Red, don't let it turn out like Two Worlds 2 - chug a lug, chug a lug!!!!
