Nintendo released the box art for Mario Party 9 yesterday, and it's notable for a couple reasons. First, it's bright enough to give you an aneurysm, and secondly, poor Luigi is barely even there.
Check out the full box art under the "Read More" tag, and see if you can find Luigi.

Could you find him? Look right to the left of the "M" in Mario. Still having trouble? Check out the below picture:

There he is, literally dwarfed by his brother's name, while freakin' Wario and those stupid jumping fish inhabit the foreground. Is he imprisoned up there? What was his crime? How much more disrespect will Luigi put up with until he snaps?
Anyway, check out the trailer when you get a chance, ok?

think about it. In the past few games (mainly SSBB) they've been pushing the idea that luigi is shy and shadowed by his brother. making him hidden like this is just part of developing that idea.

You all are clearly missing the point of why he is in the background. Whats that he is on? oh a mansion. Whats coming out on the 3DS shortly? Oh Luigi's Mansion 2. Its clearly a reference to his Mansion series. I mean really nobody picked up on this?

It looks like he's about to hang himself

Being overshadowed by your more successful brother is bad enough, but now he's even taken a backseat to the evil, horribly disfigured Waluigi. Maybe if he got a sex change he'd be more prominently featured, like the transgendered Birdo.

I still remember my favorite mini-game of any Mario party, I think it was in the 1st one; the one where (I think) someone had a light bulb and you had to get it to the end of the mission, Meanwhile it was like a side-scrolling beat 'em up, where you fought a bunch of Boos (the ghost not the jeer).
And I don't remember which game it was, but my second favorite was one where you are inside a mech, and just have to destroy everyone else. Had some awesome stand-offs with my brother.
But I haven't played a Mario Party since 5.

Amusing post. Although it seems like Luigi is trying to knock his brothers name out of the sky.
