Who needs a romantic, candlelit dinner on Valentine's Day when you can instead spend hours hurling egg-shaped birds at elaborate, pig-protecting constructions with the intention of crushing those helpless farm animals into gooey bits of pork? Okay, dumb question. But hey, Angry Birds is popular and it's coming to Facebook on Valentine's Day, also known as February 14.
Rovio CEO Peter Vesterbacka confirmed the news to Penn Olson (via Gamasutra), revealing that the company is planning to host a launch event in Jakarta, Indonesia. It actually makes sense in the bigger picture, since Indonesia is the social network's second-largest market after the United States. The Facebook-ified Angry Birds will see some tweaks in the form of new power-ups, birds and other features.
