I don't generally like to work over the weekend, but when I spotted this video that Joystiq posted on Saturday, I immediately noted the link so I could share it with you today. We all know that Minecraft can be twisted and contorted to do some amazing things. Re-create a full game world though? For one of the best video games of all time? How often does that happen?

At least once, as you can see in the above video. The world of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been lovingly rendered in Minecraft's blocky form with amount of attention paid to seemingly every tiny detail. You can download an alpha version of the map and load it up in your own game to check it out for yourself, or just watch the above video and be completely amazed.

As cool as I think it is for some one to take time out of their schedule to make a tribute to one of the greatest games of all times, I don't know what g4's thinking here. If you think this "awesome" then you must really don't play minecraft much. If you wanna see how it's really done hit up the VoxelBox on youtube and watch the pros go to work.

It's really surprising how similar a lot of the areas look just like the N64 version, and I don't mean only in layout but even graphically in some cases lol.

LOL "work on the weekend", dude your job involves telling the world about video game-related crap. Stop misusing the word "work" like your profession is so difficult you're glad to walk away 2 days of the week.

The Water Temple was only "hard" because one or two of the keys are very easy to miss.
