Imagine this is a surprise party that you found out about early. Be polite and pretend you're super-surprised: Capcom has just confirmed that Resident Evil 6 is on the way! The official announcement of RE 6 contains some confirmed details about what we can expect when the game hits November 20, including the suggestion that the president of the United States himself is a zombie.
Here's the official game description, right from Capcom:
It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.
“Resident Evil 6 represents a giant stride forward in the evolution of the series,” commented Katsuhiko Ichii, Head of R&D and Global Marketing. “The development team, led by Hiroyuki Kobayashi, is working tirelessly to deliver the most impressive Resident Evil title ever both in terms of scope and production values. We are all genuinely excited by the title and cannot wait to share it with the world.”

the one thing i will remember from RE5 is, REDFIELD SMASH PUNY BOULDER!!!... he should have yelled I AM A MAN! then punch it that would have worked much better

Can't wait! I'm glad they're finally going back to the classic zombies. Alex Wesker is possibly going to be the main villain this time too, which will be awesome to finally see what he can do. Also, was that Adam West voicing the president?

WHY can't they just go back to the game style that made the series great? If I wanted to play Halo, Gears of War or whatever... I'd play those games. I hated RE4 and 5, they weren't Resident Evil games they were action shooters that had zombies.
I love the first 2 games, #3 and Code Veronica were ok. After that they changed too much.

I am concerned that it seems to be a little too much on the action side... Maybe Chris' missions have a faster pace while Leon's have a slower horror feel to them.

I might have peed myself a little after i saw this video lol. there looks like some promising new mechanics in this game with the sprinting, a diff cover system, and bein able to shoot while prone after diving.

And Leon's segments made this trailer. Chris' segments look like Roid Rage central Resident Evil 5 all over again.

ok weskers dead and who could've started this new outbreak stay tuned for "resident evil 6" even capcom gave an actuall release date so if its pushed back wont be a looong wait like max payne 3 is!!
