The Internet is abuzz today about a viral marketing campaign pointing to the fact that Resident Evil 6 may be announced today at 2 PM PST. The site NoHopeLeft.com features pictures and graffiti with the slogan "19.01.12 No Hope Left." Not only that, but IGN received a promotional image from GameStop that slates the game for a November 20, 2012 release date. It all looks pretty legit.
Additionally, gaming website GamesBeat has said that their reliable source within Capcom said that Resident Evil 6 will feature franchise heroes Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy as the two lead characters. Ada Wong is also expected to make a return, but they weren't told in what way she'd be returning.
Who wants to bet the 2PM reveal is the next Resident Evil?
Capcom of course hasn't confirmed or denied any of these rumors, so we'll just have to wait until later today to see if an official announcement pops up. In the meantime, let's speculate about where you would want Resident Evil 6 to go.

Whats BS is that GS is known to do what they want when they want. Even broke SD once. They get the first leaked footage of RE6. Wow, I hope their employees actually appreciate it.

If I can't move while I aim, shoot or knife then I have no interest. Seriously, not being able to move doesn't add horror/suspense it adds frustration. If Capcom wants to make the game scary again they need to add atmosphere(a scary setting and frightening music), and not just jump scares. Honestly, if Capcom can bring back the scares and finally move this franchise away from the last gen. controls/gameplay its still using I'll be back on board.

Paint me old-school.. But I really hope they don't allow you to move and shoot. Thats part of the classic Resident Evil. There are just certain things about the game that we have all come to love and accept from it.. I would be heart-broken if they changed any single one of them in a way that makes the game easier.. Been playin' this series since the day Resident Evil debuted on the PS1 back when I was like 9.

I'd prefer playing as some of the older ones. I mean Barry, Rebecca, Claire, Jill (yeah that's 3DS but still). And where's Billy and Carlos in all this? But they're going to re-use Chris and Leon again? Bah I say!
