Tequila Works launched in late 2010, bringing together a diverse array of development talents from Blizzard, MercurySteam, Pyro Studios, SCE Europe, Trumph Studios and Weta Digital. Its first game was revealed back then to be a downloadable release, and we now have a title and platform: Deadlight, for Xbox Live Arcade.
The game's existence is revealed on the studio's official website (via Joystiq). There's not much detail yet: Deadlight is a "cinematic puzzle platformer" set in 1986. The story follows Randall Wayne as he "treks the American west coast" in an apocalyptic world that's been ravaged by "a mysterious disease" that transforms "people into killer automatons."
Sounds neat. Deadlight is an XBLA exclusive and it's coming this summer.
