Fans who were excited to fire up Star Wars: The Old Republic today so they could explore the new content being added in BioWare's v1.1 Rise of the Rakghouls update will need to cool their heels for a bit. The developer confirms in an in-game update to players (also viewable in SW:TOR's official forums) that Rakghouls will now go live sometime in "the next few days."
The delay is the result of "issues requiring additional testing" that were discovered by players using the game's Public Test Server. When Game Update 1.1 DOES go live, subscribers can expect to encounter some server downtime. That downtime was originally scheduled to start in the early morning hours of today and continue until later this morning. Stay tuned for more updates soon.

I just started playing SWTOR today after watching this youtube video for getting setup http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =aBvnGnzvX5M and I'm really liking it so far. I've met a few nice players already and I'm having fun, so I hope it does well. Also, excited for the patch :)

Fantastic idea bioware. Keep the fix's and the content till after the free month is up to keep as many people as you can from jumping off the TORtanic

I friggin love this game. I'm glad Bioware is releasing content patches frequently, and that they are of quality. Good on them :D

I would rather this have better fixes and better testing then be rushed out. Glad they delayed it for more fixes :)
