Grasshopper Manufacture's upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw continues to look completely deranged, as one should expect from any game overseen by gaming's mad genius evil mastermind, Suda 51. You play as the zombie-hunting cheerleader Juliet Starling, who uses her handy chainsaw to slice her zombified schoolmates into gooey, squishy bits.
Also, there are lollipops.
The new trailer above gives us our first look at the game's big bad, the 18-year-old "goth geek bastard" Swan. This guy definitely takes being goth to the next level; most of that black-clad, dark-loving clique is fine with simply ruminating about the end of the world, but Swan is actually taking steps to make it happen. For that, we should all applaud him. And then we should use Juliet's chainsaw to examine his insides.

I was waiting for her to say, "Oh my God"...."...for sure". "That zombie got, like, in my way to the mall so I sliced him up". This game looking cool?? "As if..."

I'm hoping this is more Shadows of the Damned than No More Heroes. SotD had great mechanics and an acceptable interface which were the two things that let NMH down. Even as much as I loved SotD, Suda 51 still has a lot of untapped potential, I think.

its not aiming to be some critically acclaimed title that brings out our inner emotional child or something like that. its a video game for entertainments sake. so instead of a plumber rescuing a princess from a dragon thing, or an infected mutant race of bugs invading our planet for no apperant reason; its a chainsaw weilding cheerleader that hacks zombies. im sold :)

Wow, Suda managed to capture late 90's pop culture in a video game: it's Marilyn-Reznor (with a massive inferiority complex) vs. Slutty Buffy (with an equally as large oral fixation).
I, however, am still going to play the bejeezus out of this because it looks like fun.
