I admit that I was extremely skeptical about Razer's Project Fiona PC gaming tablet when I first heard about it, but after seeing it run The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim on ultra high settings I must say that I'm really impressed. Tech blog Destructoid got a video of the tablet playing Skyrim on ultra high settings at 1280x800 resolution and while it did have a few framerate issues, once they turned the game down to high settings it ran perfectly. Just watch this video for confirmation.
I still think that the design of the tablet is a bit whack, but I'm almost speechless to see the device running such a demanding game so flawlessly. I've definitely taken a new stance on Project Fiona after seeing this impressive tech demo.

Skyrim is not that demanding of a game. It has poor performance due to Bethesda not pulling out the proper final tweaks before release, but it's really not that demanding.
Maybe Batman Arkham City, or even Dragon Age II with the High-Res texture pack would have been a better choice to show off what it's really capable of doing. Even if those aren't proper choices, there are definitely games out there that are demanding enough.
I mean granted, I have a laptop with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M, but it works well enough for all the games I care to play. Skyrim needed a few tweaks, but they were mostly just stuff I honestly really didn't care about, like turning off the blur. Also turned down some distance settings because they were just not needed for my needs (only thing I really care about is characters being able to be seen in the far off distance). The TESV Acceleration Layer mod also helps to improve performance (upto a 40% increase in some machines even high-end machines, especially in towns), mainly where Bethesda didn't do it themselves.
But eitherway... Skryim isn't demanding. If they wanna tout this as the first-real gaming tablet PC, then they truly need to find a demanding enough game to really prove it to us. Because for whatever price point they end up coming out with for it, it will be a definitely ripoff unless it packs some serious power. I was highly disappointed in the price point for their PC, so this better make up for it...

But what about the price... Sure Id love to have a tablet that can do this but I dont want to have to bend over and take it up the ass to get one...
