This week, Blair Butler is joined by the lovely and talented Tiffany Smith. You may know her as a correspondent on Attack of the Show, the host of Qore on the Playstation Network, or as the face of the Oxygen Network, but you may not have known what a huge comic book fan she is! Tiffany and Blair cover Fatale, Rachel Rising, The Avengers Annual, Animal Man, X23, DMZ, Penguin, Uncanny X-Force, and The Cape. Enjoy!

I loved Echo, trade waiting on Rachel Rising. Between Penguin: Pain & Prejudice and that Jason Aaron one shot from a few years back I've come to realize that when written well the Penguin really is my favorite bat-villain. Animal Man is currently my favorite book on the shelves. I'm so excited for the Swamp Thing & Animal Man crossover!!! Still diggin' the Cape. Fatale is as good as any Brubaker/ Phillips collaboration ever is. Really appreciated the extra Lovercraft history in the back. Blair, are you serious about hating Age of Apocalypse? I'm no dyed in the wool X-Men fan but that event was amazing! BTW Tiffany Smith is fox with great taste in comics. Bring her back soon.

Whoa, why stay from Animal Man or Swamp Thing? Those two, along with Batman are the strongest books in the entire New 52 line-up, my friend! Amazing writing and gorgeous art? Check them out!

Hawkman is drawn really well, the story is decent so far, I don't really know much about Hawkmans origin, so I don't know how it stacks up to prior stories. I'd recommend it based on the art, but you'd really need to read an issue to see if the concept intrigues you.
Deathstroke is interesting so far, the art is on par with what you'd expect a modern Dc comic to be. Deathstroke is being portrayed as an older super who keeps trying to prove he hasn't lost it. Often with him brutally killing everyone in his way =D
I'd recommend at least reading an issue to see if they suit your tastes. As for stormwatch I hear positive things so it might be worth the read.

Hmm...3 series mentioned here I've been avoiding. Animal Man, Penguin, and Swamp Thing. Might check out Penguin...still not interested in Animal Man...
Question for other DC fans. How is Hawkman, Deathstroke, Firestorm, and Stormwatch? Been on the fence about those and I've already been disappointed with quite a few series from the New 52.
