There's a new trailer up today for EA Canada's SSX, which finally hits the slopes in North America on February 28 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The trailer has a documentary feel, featuring a mix of real-world and in-game footage accompanied by talk about the actual experience of snowboarding from actual pro Travis Rice.
The upcoming release is the first since 2007's SSX Blur, a motion-based Wii-exclusive release. The series has actually never been released on one of the current-gen HD consoles, with 2005's SSX On Tour coming to Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube and PSP at the tail end of the previous generation. Based on the little we see in this new trailer, things are definitely looking good.

ssx was one of my favorite games on the old xbox. hope they can improve and make that huge jump for this current system, but graphics are a little worrisome. reserve?....no..not just yet

i love ssx. but these graphics look subpar. no doubt it will be fun. (hopefully) but still im a little displaced about the graphics

Travis Rice is to snowboarding what Travis Pastrana is to dirtbikes and Ken Block to rally. The Flying Tomato can rotate on that.

That Travis Rice guy (who ever he is lol) did pretty good job of hyping. The way he described going down a mountain makes me want to play any snowboarding game, right now!
