A Disney newsletter revealed Disney Epic Mickey 2 is on its way. The newsletter was quickly edited to remove any info about Mickey's next adventure. Stich Kingdom caught a glimpse of the newsletter before these changes occurred, revealing that Epic Mickey 2 is set for a Christmas 2012 launch for all the major consoles: Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. It even detailed their plans to include split screen co-op in Epic Mickey 2. Player one would to the role of Mickey, while player 2 would be Oswald the rabbit.
The newsletter was clearly sent out prematurely as Disney has not officially revealed the game to the public. This pseudo-announcement doesn't surprise me though since Epic Mickey was met with stellar reviews. As long as they fix some of the camera issues, Epic Mickey 2 will be a must-have title for me. Are you excited for Epic Mickey 2?

I did love Epic Mickey overall, it's one of those games that I can get into the world so well in. Even the bad camera didn't seem to hurt my desire to play it. My biggest complaint had to do with the lack of dialog. This isn't Zelda where they seem to want to keep it text to help it's feel, this is a game based on the first cartoon that did talk. Again, not a deal breaker, but I hope that since it's coming to the Wii (no Wii U?) there not going to try the lack of space on the disc excuse again.

If the second game is multi platform, will the first get an HD upgrade for the PS3 and 360?

I hope it goes multi-platform this time.

In my opinion, Epic Mickey was one of, if not the best Wii games. Granted, I'm a huge Disney fan so I might be a bit biased. I'm just glad to hear it will be on all consoles as I thought the Wii's processing power really hurt the design of the game.

My enjoyment of the original was severely hampered by my annoyances with the Wii Remote. Better visuals, controls, and a download voucher for the original would definitely pique my interest. Although I'd prefer using a Dualshock, I'm open to more good games utilizing the Move. Hopefully the don't treat the HD console versions as Wii ports.

I highly doubt I'd play it. I got it wit high expectations, but it severely fell short and I never finished it. The camera was so bad that the game was nearly unplayable, and it was more frustrating than it was fun. Never understood why G4 gave it a 5/5. Didn't really deserve it by any means.

Why do game companies feel like being so secretive about their projects?

Camera issues??? The biggest flaw of Epic Mickey was being on the Wii, wince its going to be on 360 and PS3 im getting it for sure, hopefully its the same art style but much more detail since its finally on a real system oh and bonuses and extra features like old disney cartoons
