Borderlands 2 is shaping up to be an interesting game, capitalizing on the strengths of its predecessor and throwing some interesting new features into the works, including the just detailed new class: The Gunzerker.
As his name suggests, the Gunzerker is berserk, but for guns. The Gunzerker class's main attribute is the ability to dual-weild for short periods of time. Twice the boomstick for the buck.
According to Borderlands 2's lead writer Anthony Burch, speaking to IGN, "I can combine a shock machine gun and a fire shotgun and charge with my machine gun firing to drop [enemy] shields and then light them on fire with the shotgun at close range and melt their face." Sounds good to me.
If you played Borderlands, you'd be expecting elaborate skill trees to go with the new class, and you won't be disappointed. There are three Gunzerker trees to branch out in, the utility of each depending on your playstyle. Burly fighters will enjoy the "Brawn" tree. Crazy MFers will like the "Rampage" line. Tech heads will put their points into "Gun Lust." All three of the Gunzerkers trees, as well as a character back story, are available at the "Source" link.

That I much argee as well, the gunzerker been anounced months ago since my friends got a copy of Game Informer by mail. I been hearing about the gunzerker class as well as the skills it carries as well so now we all want new info about the other classes.
But still I gotta take back my skills on the first Borderlands game its been a while since playing it.

Gearbox only does horrible ports to the pc. They refuse to properly adapt the game for the mouse. Instead of scrolling through text, we have to use page up and page down. They force a filter on the mouse that makes the cursor move in straight lines only. They put in mouse acceleration without a way in the game options to turn it off. They don't have mouse settings that allow pc gamers to play at reasonably low enough sensitivities for the dpi most gaming mice have nowadays.

Just saying Gearbox if you can hear me, you did nothing to fix my broken game, now you want me to buy Broken Game part 2? you gotta be kidding me..... sending me a free copy to make up for my first horrible experiences with the first one sounds about right to me. I already spent 60 bucks for nothing, why would I EVER do that again? You scarred me for life.

Do the world a favor, cancel this game! If True Crime and The Sabotuer 2 didn't make the cut, how the heck did this failure of a game make it? Must be a lot of newbees that have never played a REAL game out there. That's ok, I thought lame games were cool too when I was a newbee.

I thought it wasn't really a new class so much as an altered Berserker class...I figured they'd just do the same with the other 3 classes. I'd be cool either way. I <3 Gearbox! ^_^

Why show ANY love for this game? I bought the first one the day it came out, and I never got to play more than 20 minutes of the game cause my copy was SO bug filled. They never bothered to do anything about it, basically "buy it or shut up" approach. That was so wrong. I never did anything to deserve that from this company or their bug-filled game. I just had to return it and get 25 dollars store credit 2 days after I bought it! Plus, the original article in magazines read that Borderlands would be an open world game with "read my lips" NO LOAD SCREENS. That's what they promised, then the game releases as something entirely different. I'm calling BS on this game and it's series.

Gearbox has been beating the Gunzerker to death for months now. At this point i'd like to start hearing some details on the other classes, because more than likely, I will not be playing as Salvador, at least not immediately.

Well as long as there's the ability to still create your own guns with willowtree mod from bl1 the game will be even more fun.

Wow I was just playing Borderlands. The Gunzerker class seems pretty awesome my favorite class in Borderlands was the Solider class because he had the ability to regen ammo. Man I never ran out ammo using Roland he was my man. If the Gunzerker class can regen ammo like the Solider class then I'm def pickin it.
