David Jaffe has a special holiday message for you that I'm just going to go ahead and spoil right now. Those who purchase first-run copies of Eat Sleep Play's upcoming Twisted Metal will receive a voucher in the box containing a download code for the PlayStation 2 game, Twisted Metal: Black.
It's meant to be a thank you to fans for supporting the series over the years. Meaning if you've never played a Twisted Metal game before then you definitely shouldn't buy the new one at launch because you might be stealing that gifted game from a fan who REALLY deserves it.
I kid, I kid. In reality, all copies of the game will be coated with a reactive gel that wipes the voucher code clean if it detects anything less than a super-fan fervor for the series when you first pick it up. So no worries, newcomers. Buy freely. Twisted Metal comes to PlayStation 3 next year on February 14, also known in some circles as Valentine's Day.

If you guys haven't seen the post on the PS Blog then you need to check it out. David Jaffe is very inspirational and great. He took the time to reply to tons of comments and questions. You just don't see fan dedication like that now a days.

Bah. As always with new games offering free classics it's thanks but no thanks. I still have the original.
However tell me it's been updated a little and that would change things. Black and TM2 are the best ones anyway.
