With humble beginnings as a table top game, the MechWarrior series has been a staple of many players' video game diets for the past 30 years. MechWarrior is entering the digital space as a free-to-play PC game with MechWarrior Online. Here's what we know so far.
"MechWarrior Online supports team based gameplay as well ways for gamers to lone-wolf their entire experience. Lone-wolfing is ideal for someone who doesn’t have loyalty to a faction, someone who wants to play as a mercenary by joining the Mercenary Corporation, or just a “pick up player.” Gamers can chose a faction to pledge their loyalty to, and when your actions benefit your faction, you earn loyalty points. You can use these points to earn rank titles like Sergeant and Corporal. These ranks will earn you sweet skins and other rewards. MechWarrior Online has a reward system in place that benefits gamers for being good, rather than punishing gamers who play poorly. Working as a team earns gamers xp, currency, and loyalty points."

i remember watching ppl play Mechwarrior on the old G4 show Arena (you know back when G4 focused on gaming and had gaming shows!!!!!) those were awesome matches

I loved the Mech Warrior games so I cannot wait for this one especially since it's going to be made with Cryengine 3.

I remember quite a few years ago there was a game on AOL's "premium game channel" or something like that... It was called "Mechwarrior Online" I think. It cost me 2.99 an hour to play it, but at 18 years old, I ran up a bill that is probably still unpaid today.
I hope this game works out to be a good one.
