Cheats and Walkthroughs
It has finally happened; EA and BioWare have released Star Wars: The Old Republic. Blair Herter, Matt Keil, Morgan Webb, and Leah Jackson pulled themselves away from the Empire to talk about it with you on Feedback. Watch this week's show to find out if SW: TOR truly is the MMO you've been looking for.
The AUDIO MP3 of this episode of FEEDBACK is available here: Right-click and Save.
Before we jumped in, sabers first, into the SWTOR discussion we dished about some of the latest video game announcements.
- Naughty Dog's next project will be The Last of Us. We don't know much about this title other than it's survival horror game and that girl isn't Ellen Page. (It totally is though.) If you haven't seen the trailer, you can thank Viacom.
- Epic has revealed their next game: Fortnite. Inspired by Minecraft, this game will let gamers build forts by day to fend off enemies by night.
- Metal Gear Solid: Rising is now Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. If made-up words and cybernetic ninjas are your thing; you're going to love MGR: Revengeance.
- BioWare is opening a new studio to make Command and Conquer: Generals 2.
- Obsidian is working on a true RPG based on the TV show, South Park.
The final chunk of the show is dedicated to SW: TOR. We talk about the story, the controls, the server wait times, all of it.
Let us know what you thought of this epsiode and what how you're liking SW: TOR!

This was my first time watching a feedback show. I guess I'm supposed to follow this site closely all the time, as many of the topics seemed to assume that I already knew what the hosts were talking about.

ff7 is terrible, continue the movement.

All round great so far! 5/5
I'll be playing this for the next 3 or 4 years. The wait was worth it.

That cinematic wasn't my favorite, but I also very much enjoyed FF13. and FF13-2 looks like it is going to be great. as for my fave cinematic, im going to go with the battle between bahamut and alexander in FFIX. had that as my wallpaper on my computer so many years.

Cinematics - DCUO's opening was one of the best I've ever seen. They need to make a movie like that.
Speaking of DCUO: I love SWTOR so far, but I loved DCUO right up until the end game. As soon as you hit the level cap, the game dies hard (and not in a good Bruce Willis way). I see some similarities between SWTOR and DCUO - the emphasis on solo action and story being the main one. My biggest concern is that you'll hit the end level, and the game will die a painful death, where you get bogged down in tedious repetitive quests to get more gear to do more of the same quests. I'll have to see when I get there.

Haha, he said doodoo, haha she said doodoo.
Okay, that out of the way, regarding EPIC Games, they've said a few months ago that they are going to make several smaller games (actually they said "five new titles") since they don't want to put their whole company on the line with these million dollar multiple-year projects anymore (see RAGE). Presumably FortNite (which is highly inspired from Mods, just like Left4Dead was e.g. Source Forts - but it's good to see some budget and industry talent put behind the concept) will be the first of them.
Here are some parts from the Interview: http://www.eurogamer.net/artic les/2011-08-16-epic-games-work ing-on-five-new-titles
"Everyone knows the middle class is disappearing from the console business," he said. "Gears of War I hope will do really well, but a pretty good game doesn't make its money back any more. A game like Homefront sells a couple of million copies and they close the studio, right?
"That's not enough any more. That's pretty depressing. You don't want to see what happens to an industry where it's Call of Duty, Halo and Gears and no-one else has enough money to make any games any more. That's not a fun industry.
"I can't bet my entire company every time I make a game," declared Capps. "That's a really dangerous business."
Regarding Command&Conquer 2, Matt is right in that it's most likely a marketing move... after all the studio is completely new and they're calling it "Bioware Victory" and EA is involved... there were a few buzz-words that would guarantee it more transparence, one of them is obviously "Bioware", the second "Command & Conquer" (which is a well-loved brand), but they also made sure to throw "Battlefield 3 engine" in there in those press releases...
On SWTOR, got my game for almost a week now but have only managed to get a Bounty Hunter to Lvl20 so far since I had played a Jedi Knight and Sith Inquisitor up to about that Level in the Beta and wanted to try something new :P
Still like it, the best part about it is still the story and companions in my opinion.
Oh yeah, if you want to avoid losing Reputation or just generally want to try other conversation options "ESC" is a good key to have handy :P

Just what i like in my feedback: a passionate and enlightening conversation about video games.

Morgan: "I like to force choke people." Kinky, Morgan, real kinky...

Ewoks as a playable race? na.. maybe as a companion. ewoks would be hunted for sport on a pvp server.

Omg a Barrens Chat joke...that takes me back lol

Blair loves him some Leah...
She did seem less sweet and more feisty and annoyed than previous episodes.

Favorite cutscene for me is the wedding scene from Final Fantasy X, followed by the ending to Final Fantasy X, and finally the ending cutscene from Mass Effect 2 (everyone lives version).

I'm pretty sure all this Last of Us hate is geared towards the fact that its a PS3 exclusive and that it will obviously be another good exclusive for the PS3. So its more jealousy than hate.

"Man I'm not looking forward to the Last of Us, I'm tired of zombies.."
'OMG Epic and zombies!!! jkhlkhklhkjhh!"
I'm not attacking I just found that to be ironically funny.
BaldSpaceMarine
A South Park RPG? But i'm still not tired of throwing snow balls at Turkeys!

Seriously, what's with all of the Last of Us hate? It looks like a great mix of I am Legend and what Dead Island said it was going to be. When the Dead Island trailer came out everyone was saying "finally! a zombie game with an emotional, father saves family story", fast forward 6 months and now everyone all of a sudden everyone hates zombies, kids, and emotions plots?
And its freaking Naughty Dog, its not some Left for Dead clone so what is with this whole "been there done that mentality"? Please show me one single game that has zombies AND a decent story.
