Cheats and Walkthroughs
It has finally happened; EA and BioWare have released Star Wars: The Old Republic. Blair Herter, Matt Keil, Morgan Webb, and Leah Jackson pulled themselves away from the Empire to talk about it with you on Feedback. Watch this week's show to find out if SW: TOR truly is the MMO you've been looking for.
The AUDIO MP3 of this episode of FEEDBACK is available here: Right-click and Save.
Before we jumped in, sabers first, into the SWTOR discussion we dished about some of the latest video game announcements.
- Naughty Dog's next project will be The Last of Us. We don't know much about this title other than it's survival horror game and that girl isn't Ellen Page. (It totally is though.) If you haven't seen the trailer, you can thank Viacom.
- Epic has revealed their next game: Fortnite. Inspired by Minecraft, this game will let gamers build forts by day to fend off enemies by night.
- Metal Gear Solid: Rising is now Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. If made-up words and cybernetic ninjas are your thing; you're going to love MGR: Revengeance.
- BioWare is opening a new studio to make Command and Conquer: Generals 2.
- Obsidian is working on a true RPG based on the TV show, South Park.
The final chunk of the show is dedicated to SW: TOR. We talk about the story, the controls, the server wait times, all of it.
Let us know what you thought of this epsiode and what how you're liking SW: TOR!

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance looks silly to me.

By the by, "I come in Peace" was not about an alien 'brain sucking' for survival. It was a drug dealer that harvested pure brain chemicals from humans to resell back in space.

Nicely done Feedback with a panel that equally contributed to the discussions. Doesn't feel right when the panel has someone on that only says one sentence every 5 minutes and clearly has no interest in the topic at hand. Its not their fault they don't know or don't care about the topic, granted, but the lull in the conversation doesn't feel right to a viewer.
Also,
< Plays most RTSs for single player only, including Starcraft. :)
No doubt, there are vastly more people interested in multiplayer, either partly or completely. Still, the campaign-only playerbase is still alive and well. Developers that ignore this fact unnecessarily cut themselves off from an easy-to-reach market.

SWTOR launch overall has been great! For anyone who uses Vent/TeamSpeak/Mumble etc.... have you noticed the amount of silence. Almost have to check and see if I am still in a channel....why? Everyone is listening to the story! The queue times were an issue for about 24 hours, but I think the response time to getting them down has been a great effort. Still a few bugs for sure, but nothing game breaking (i.e. quest wont complete, story is broken, instance phasing).
Expansion.... I have no idea what I really want, but more PvP warzones (overall the 3 we have are fun for sure HUTBALL anyone?) Personally for me... more Space Combat... yep, dont mind saying it. I enjoy the Space Combat. It is a nice break from the game and only takes 20-30 minutes to get them done and the experience, credits, and commendations make it all worth it.
Free to play... I hope never (totally agree with Morgan).
On a side note... Blair - Help Morgan out of her anti-social gameplay... grouping is fun. SWTOR is great for leveling SOLO, but Flashpoints and Operations will be a "must do" part of the game if you like the stories. MORGAN - Don't miss it... (even if you have to heal).

Favorite Cinematic: The opening in GOW3 or just any MGS game.

Opening scene to C&C Red Alert. FF13 was complete garbage. The first three hours were PAINFUL and I wasn't about to waste my life on another 20 hours. I work at EB games and I have to put up with that emo trailer for FF13-2. I want the game to come out. BOMB like X-2. Just so I don't have to listen to everyone saying how much Snow sucks (which he does. He a big buy who look badass and acts like a little whiny bitch.) and how he doesn't kill himself...which is a bit much.

Zombie games usually don't have any kind of story. The story is usually tacked on last. It looks like the Last of Us is going to focus on story and environment, and zombies last. Yeah, zombies are done a lot, but not like this. I don't think you can say that you've played this kind of game before. Also, most zombie games just have generic FPS controls, even Dead Island used FPS controls for their melee weapons. I would like to see some of the innovative U3 combat implemented into the Last of Us.

Great show guys, thanks.

Idiot moment in SWTOR, somebody calling someone else a noob on launch day

Favorite cinematic...
Opening sequence to Killzone 2.
Honestly...sat there with my mouth hanging open going, "Holy Crap!!! This is a video game?!!?"
In regard to zombies:
I am completely DONE with them.
I completely agree with Morgan that the Locusts and Chimera stand on there own as humanoid enemies that everyone can cut to shreds without a moments hesitation.
SWTOR:
It's really just WoW with Star Wars paint on it.
I saw the cinematics...and almost bought a $5000 gaming rig just to play the crap out of it...
And then......I got my first look at the ACTUAL gameplay.
It's just WoW with Star Wars paint.
So...in conclusion...
Yer awesome!!!

I do still miss Abbie, Patrick, Sterling, and the old crew but I'm starting to really enjoy the new crew.
Another great episode folks.

Sad to see that Blair seem to have taken over Feedback completly :( Sessler was 100 times better and it was a joy to watch.
incredible78
Will someone there at the studio PLEASE fix Blair's headphone cord?! That twisted cord has been driving me nuts ever since he took over hosting.

Is there anything hotter than a apologetically geeky female? I think not. Hoping for more Leah Jackson on future episodes.
ManUpMan
I love C&C but they have always been stupid when it comes to story so well see if BioWare can improce that
RapidFATE
I have to say, Mr. Herter, You've done a great job with Feedback since taking over Adam's seat. While I enjoy Sessler's eloquent rants and reviews, you seemingly add your own flavor and humor to the mix and it has been a welcomed change of pace. I thoroughly enjoy all of you guys and gals, as well as your staff, for putting together an amazing episode every week. You guys give me my game news, reviews, and industry/business commentary all in one stop.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you at Feedback & all of the G4TV staff!

I want a mandalorian in the expansion. I also want a third party in the war under Revan. It would be tight.
