Valve is always good about getting Team Fortress 2 fans into the holiday spirit with cool add-ons and promotions, which means there's plenty to be excited about with the just-announced second annual Australian Christmas holiday update. In addition to new gear and a new map, fans will find the prices on more than 50 Mann Co. store items marked down by as much as 75 percent until January 2.
At the center of the update is a pair of Dr. Grordbort class packs for the Engineer and Pyro, adding weapons like The Third Degree (fire axe), which damages all players connected by Medic beams. There are also 14 holiday-themed weapons, hats and cosmetic items created by TF community members and a new Foundry map, which features 12 map-specific achievements.
Remember that TF2 is completely free to play and a total hoot, so if you've got an Internet-connected PC and are looking for some cartoonish virtual soldiers to shoot at, this is your jam. Check out the full rundown of Australian Christmas features on the Team Fortress website.

i agree with eXtine that its still the best PC FPS out there 4 years after release, but i'm not sure if that is more a tribute to the game or how bad the PC FPS competition is...
