Feedback's Question Of The Week

Since the Holidays are quickly approaching I want to farm some questions from you, the readers, before you leave town/enter a sugar cookie coma/ partake in a marathon Skyrim session.

Some time after Christmas we're going to shoot our Looking Forward to 2012 episode. The comment section below is your chance to ask us anything you want to know about the video games of 2012. Go ahead, ask away!

Remember, you can question for our Star Wars: The Old Republic episode too.

With another year come and gone, looking back on video games as a whole is pretty amazing. The whole industry has come pretty far, and it is hard to imagine where gaming will go within the next few years. Where do you guys think this section of entertainment will be after your' time on earth is over? Try and picture how far video games will be technoligically after our death.

Looking forward to next year, are you excited about Mass Effect 3's co-op addition. To me it seems that too many shooters are following the wave based co-op. However from what I've read I like what I see not to mention getting to be different races. My main question is do you think the co-op craze will continue to stay in shooters and get stale, or do they make all games better?

P.S. What race do you want to play as?

Star Wars Galaxies is now shut down, and although I haven't played the game in years, I was still sad to see it go. The thought that the character I invested so much time into is forever gone is truly saddening. So I ask you:

With the resent shut down of Star Wars Galaxies, how do you feel about the potential to have all your hard work and dedication in a universe like Star Wars or even World of Warcraft, be ended with the simple flip of a switch?

with the PS VITA due to release in february, and geting a look at the techical spec's. it seams a little rediculous that developers can get so much out of the current gen of consolse when they don't even have enough rame to run windows. i was wondering what sort of scoop you have on how they might be doing this.

2011 saw the announcement of the Wii U which undoubtedly put pressure on Microsoft and Sony to expedite their next generation console production; what predictions can Feedback offer for us gamers regarding Microsoft's and Sony's plans to counter Nintendo's early jump with the Wii U?

Being new to MMOs and having no friends to play SWTOR with, do you have suggestions on how to meet people and join a clan to go plundering (or what ever the lingo)?

Considering How many great titles we had this year and the inevitable release of the next generation of consoles; Do you believe that 2011 was the swan song year of this console generation. Is it possible that 2012 or 2013 will have as many or more AAA titles?

Giant gaming sequels and reboots are set to be released in 2012. A lot are getting plenty of attention because of their predecessors. What I want to know is: what are the original games of 2012 (that have been announced) that you are looking forward to?

Playing early access Old Republic as a Sith sorcerer and for the first time really enjoying being evil as possible. What do you guys think was the best use of a morality system in a game?

Out of curiosity, do you folks consider the addition of the voice recognition software worked into Mass Effect 3 a step forward in the level of immersion that players have in their gaming experience? Or do you think that adds an unnecessary feature to a game that would have been fine without it?

When I first start heard about the PS Vita I was really hype about it. But now finding out about the expensive mandatory memory card and now it is saying that you can only have one PSN account per console. I kinda feel disappointed. My question is, do you think Sony decision will hurt the PS Vita?

There many great franchises returing to the home front in 2012; aka Halo 4, Mass Effect3, Bioshock Infinite, but with all these new games in established franchises, which ones stand the most to lose, and the most gain.

Looking back at 2011 alot of great games have come out such as; Assasins Creed Revelations, Skyrim, Batman Arkham City, Uncharted 3, just to list a few. With the surge of great new games what about those we leave behind into the coming year of 2012. What about the great games from even farther back? I still enjoy playing Jet Set Radio Future from the original xbox, mostley because of it's soundtrack. What i want to know is, what games from the past deserve to be brought back into the light and played again?

RAAM'S shadow DLC recently came out and said it was trying to take players back to the first gears of war game. However it did not bring me back at all, what I remember most about the first gears of war were the colors. Everything had a grey-blue tint and to me it really emphasized that they where in a hopeless situation. It's something i really miss in gears 3. What games have you guys played where the color played a huge part.

With 2011 being such a HUGE year for top-notch titles (I still have a backlog with no apparent end in sight!) what do you think 2012 could give us, if anything, to compete with this amazing year we just experienced in gaming?
