More Half-Life 2: Episode 3 Rumors: Valve Voice Actor Working On The Title?

The Games That Weren't At E3 Half-Life

A source of OXM has just "let it slip" that they've recently been recording lines for Half Life 2: Episode 3. Uhh, what?! Valve, of course, has not confirmed (or denied!) that a new Half-Life game is in the works, but since fans of the series have been clamoring for more since Half-Life 2: Episode 2's release in 2007, it wouldn't be too surprising.

The source of course didn't give any insight on the dialogue that he recorded, or what character he was playing. However, since he's recording the dialogue in the first place that might mean that Valve may be close to finishing the game, as dialogue is generally recorded in the later parts of a development cycle. Who knows?

One thing we do know is that Spike's VGAs are scheduled to happen tomorrow night, and a few Valve employees are said to be attending. Perhaps, since this is where quite a lot of games are being unveiled, Half-Life 2: Episode 3 may be making an appearance as well. We can always hope, at least, but as of now nothing has been confirmed by Valve.

Everyone has been missing half life for like four years. People are starting to compare episode 3 to duke nukem. ironic because that actually came out.

Yeah, when I hear "Source Engine," I still think of Left 4 Dead 2's mediocre graphics, even though Portal 2 happened and totally changed my mind about the whole thing. If Episode 3 looks like Portal 2 I personally will be completely satisfied.

Would be neat to introduce a new source engine but it's also not a big deal because the source engine has a lot of life left. I just want at least a teaser trailer of HL2:episode 3.

I know it sounds blasphemous but I never cared for Half-Life 2. Episode 2 was awesome though but I just couldn't get into this franchise the way I could Portal or TF2 but it'll be interesting to say "I played HL2: Episode 3" one day

I thought I saw something where someone at Valve said the next Half-Life would be a full game as in Half-Life 3 and it would not be and Episode 3.
