Here's a friendly public service announcement for those among you who love awesome things. Chrono Trigger, which ranks among the MOST awesome things for gamers, is now available for download in the iOS App Store, for iPhone and iPod Touch.
It's the Nintendo DS version of the SNES classic, which means you get some bonus areas to plow through in addition to the main game. Square Enix is using its typical "arm and a leg" pricing for App Store releases, with a $9.99 price tag on Chrono. That said, if you've never before played this excellent game and you happen to have an iPhone or iPod Touch then you really ought to just go ahead and -- brace yourselves -- pull the trigger.

Two more games!!! one explaining the details of the events between Trigger and Cross better and finally make another sequel to the greatest rpg series of all time!!!!!...oh, and one more game for fun, a remake with updated graphics (((and ONLY graphics dont change anything else))) for the ps3/360

Why are Square's games so damn expensive? They're 10-20 year old games and they are still charging 10-15 dollars. Sure CT is my favorite game of all time but let's be reasonable.

I don't think is 8 bit... I think is 16 bit....

Next thing Square Enix needs to do.. is bring back the original Final Fantasy Tactics!

Needs more sequels or maybe even a remake, not more ports! I hope they don't let low port sales numbers equate to low interest in the series again...What's Masato Kato been up to lately anyways?

CHRONO TRIGGER is by far the best RPG ever created! I remember picking it up at Target for like 70 bucks! FF aint got nuttin on it!

This is a big win for making a classic top of the line RPG available via digital distribution. Chrono Trigger brought so many things to the RPG genre with it's quality and depth. As well as the consequences of actions earlier in the game having a significant impact later and a whole variety of endings and sidequests.

I've already played the original about 4-5 times through, and the DS version twice, but still debating picking this up. Honestly one of the best RPGs ever made for those young'ins out there who never had a chance to play SNES. Ya, it's 8 bit graphics, but it also has one of the best soundtracks of all time, a very unique combat mechanic, branching gameplay through time travel, and like 12 different game endings. Honestly, every RPG fan should play this game at least once.
