This year's Videogame Deathmatch has had its share of upsets and surprises, including the upset of Skyrim, the death of all FPS' and the inexplicable non-inclusion of Thor. But today, we've finally paired 2011's video game releases down to a single fight. This last contest is a true battle of the Titans that pits Assassin's Creed: Revelations against The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. One of these two games will take home the title of G4's Videogame Deathmatch 2011 Winner!
"How will the better of these two titles be decided?" you may be asking. You, the reader, will decide. Just go to our Videogame Deathmatch page and cast you ballot for your favorite.

Thats the problem with the voting going on: they want you to vote on your favorite GAME not your favorite SERIES. Thats why some games didnt make it because people were voting for their favorite series not the single game they put up.

How the hell did this so called "Final Battle" end up happening between these two games?
Skyward sword is basically Twilight Princess/Windwaker with some enemies that block in certain ways so you have to slash a specific way to get passed their defenses which in my opinion is somewhat cool and adds more of a challenge but it is in no way groundbreaking or GOTY material. Don't get me wrong I loved every Zelda game I have played but they all have the same concept pretty much and it's almost like Zelda/Mario games are becoming the CODs/Maddens of Nintendo.
I only think Assassins Creed made it this far because each AC game manages to improve on the last one even though the concepts are similar. Also it most likely has do with that it is supposedly the last Assassins Creed game and people probably want it to go out with a bang and what would be more appropriate than GOTY.
It's probably going to be a close vote and I hope G4 posts the exact numbers when its done, May the best video game win.

I wouldn't settle to comfortably. Although I'm rooting for skyward sword to win, and it's got the lead at the moment by 70%, remember that we still have a week before the deathmatch ends, and this match could change at any moment or near the final minutes. so to all AC fans, you still have a shot. in the infamous words of Lloyd Christmas, "So you're telling me there's a chance. YEEEEEAH!!!"

WILL YOU ALL JUST SHUT UP? I know you're all passionate and hateful towards these two games, but all of these things ARE JUST GAMES. Don't get pissed because YOUR favorite game didn't win! Granted, I would have liked it if I saw Gears of War, and I agree that Assassin's and LoZ isn't the best pick for Game of the Year....but please, all of you Skyrim fangirls/boys are just as bad as us Legend of Zelda fangirls/boys. You're whining. I know we're not whining, but I'm not bashing Skyrim or Assassin's Creed. Granted, I am a die hard Zelda fan, and enjoyed Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword thoroughly, but it's not reason to get upset over. I'm not saying Zelda deserves to win, or Assassin's Creed, or even Skyrim for that matter.
Let's all just act civilized about this, okay? I know the gaming world is hardcore and all that junk, but this is getting a little out of hand.

The only reason zelda is up here is because there are so many fan boys on here that get a b*ner anytime someone mentions something including nintendo or zelda

Skyrim and something other than these two games should have been final imo. Skyward sword was fun, not as fun as Twilight Princess or OoT and def not unique. Revelations sucks. That is all

Wow, terrible final! Revelations was worse than all of the other Assassin's Creed. Zelda hasn't changed in twenty years. They should just delete this final and call it a wash. Fan boys ruin EVERYTHING!

YES, Skyrim was defeated. It was my #1 disappointment of the year. You can hate me all you want, but it was. Even a friend of mine that LOVe the franchise was disappointed with it.
