It s no secret Skyrim is a really fun game, but unfortunately it s also no secret the game is laden with bugs. As much fun as I m having with the game, I have some sessions where the game plays like it s in an Alpha or Beta rather than a $60 game. I m personally on character two, losing around 25 hours of gameplay and 20 levels after a month of waiting for Bethesda to put out a patch because my main story mission glitched, thus not allowing dragons to appear in my game. 1.2 seemed even worse, so I just opted out of it and rerolled my character deciding to forgo exploring until I actually got dragons in my game. So my question is: in a world where bugs can be fixed post launch, how do they factor into the reviewing and scoring of a game? Did Skyrim get a pass because it s Bethesda and they have a history of patching their games; and if so, is this fair to gamers who don t have an online connection but pick these up based on the reviews? As good of a game as this is, I don t understand why it seems to have received such leeway on it s reviews and scores when it can literally force you to start completely over because quests break and aren t fixed for months at a time (or never if you re a gamer without an Internet connection).

Do you think the Vita will be as successful as Sony thinks? With the 3DS picking up in sales and having good games finally coming out and having the entire holiday season to itself as well as the Vita costing $250 and the memory card being overly priced at $130 for 32GB when you can get a regular 32GB SD card for under $40.
How long till the 3G version is killed off? I say faster than the 20GB launch PS3 :-p
with the small cap and extra data plan and higher price tag above even the PS3.

How do you think gaming has affected society and how do you think society has affected the games themselves?

Is there something that you'd like to see in every game, and if yes, what would it be?
