This is a hypothetical "What If?" scenario.

If you could make your dream video game, had unlimited resources at your disposal. Could hire the dev team of your choice, any company to help make it. If you had whatever you needed to make this game.....what game would that be and would you allow the world to play it or keep it to yourself?

Recently I earned the "What are you trying to prove?" achievement on Left for Dead, right after i had the thought I really need to go outside. I knew years ago I was a geek, but somehow receiving this award made me a little disconcerted rather than that sense of achievement video games can give you. Has this ever happened to you and if so what game were you playing when it happened to you?

as a gaming journalists...Do you guys ever get caught up with personal comments when reviewing a game that's based on a favorite series or character of yours? ex Blair and batman. And how do you keep your self from saying or writing these personal comments when you love the game so much?

I understand that when it comes to games in a series people want to know if its better or worse than the one before, but that shouldn't deny it a good score or merit one better than it deserves. Score a game on its own merit and in the written review do the comparisons to the game before it.

I saw the the Ridge Racer (Ridge Racerrrrrrrrr!) Vita game has only 4 vehicles and 3 courses when it launch. But they confirm that there will be more with DLC. Do you think that some gaming companies are starting to take advantage of gamers with DLC?

Lately, the trend in MMOs has been to push story, combat, and skill choices. Between SWTOR, GW2, The Secret World, Diablo 3, and WoW, who do you think is going to win the MMO war, and who do you think SHOULD win?

something that has been bothering me. Game makers seem to be releasing unfinished games more and more. the latest of these games was Batman Arkham city. this game is good, the best batman game so far. look at this game though, DX11 to be specific. the PC version was delayed yet the DX11 portion of batman AC didnt work. there was an announcement on the official forums that they were aware of the problem ,after launch, and that a patch was being worked on. if it was broken why was it released to begin with! how did this even get through testing? if it was a known issue before launch why was this not stated before hand? where is this patch at?!?!? do developers seem to use patching a game after release as a crutch more than they should, or is it just me at thinks this?

i should state that the batman itself works in dx9, even though many people have been having other problems with it. the announcement that the pc version would have dx11 persuaded my decision to get this on PC, this is were my problem is with this game in particular. this doesnt even start to touch on the DLC problems that people are having or the securom that lets you install the game 5 times. securom only makes PAYING CUSTOMERS feel like they are getting ripped off! while this wouldnt effect console players, this does effect PC users in a bad way.

Rage is another game i would put on this list given the problems it had on PC, and dont get me started on the ending.

what game developers do not seem to understand is that if they make something gamers want to play we will pay for it and not pirate it. if they make a product worthy of the money that we are giving them then people wont be inclined to pirate these games.

Gamers, PC or console, spend 50 and 60 dollars on games all the time and many of these game just seem to not deliver or be finished. is there something that we ,the gamers, can do to change this? how do we send a message that we are tired of being ripped off.

something that i would like to add that you guys talked about last episode. Ubisoft should understand that console games have been and will continue to be just as easy to pirate as PC games. again, if they made game that people would want to buy people will buy them.

In this day and age of endless patches and updates, how do you decide WHEN to review a game? Normally, not much changes between a reviewer's time with the game up until its release date or embargo. But now we have "Day 1 patches" (e.g. Battlefield 3) that would've been experienced by consumers but not necessarily the reviewer had they published his or her review before launch.

Other times, the amount of stress its servers endure upon release is also a different experience than the small circle of reviewers and developers playing before the street date (e.g. Gears of War 2). Then there are games that publicize major updates months after its initial launch as a way to bring in more players, like Hydrophobia.

I guess my question is: at what point do you separate your experience with a game before its release--when a small number of people have access to it but the game is still "gold"--and when it's available to everyone else?

I understand this may differ between PC games and console games (I experience more of the latter), considering the long certification period Microsoft and Sony has, and also the game itself. God, can you imagine how many reviews there would be for World of Warcraft after every patch by now? OR FIRMWARE UPDATES?!

I have a comment more so than a question. I have recently had the misfortune of spending several weeks at my local Children's hospital as my son faces many issues. I have seen many children dealing with issues few of us have ever battled with and they always face these challenges with grace and courage. In this holiday time as we all enjoy new games and great deals on those games, please consider taking a few minuets and a few dollars and donating to childsplay. As gamers we can all respect how much joy and escapism games can provide for us and I have seen first hand how it makes a difference for these children. It will be the best gift you can give anyone this holiday season

I'm not going to debate whether we need review scores, because no matter what they're never going to go away. Instead I want to know what's the process for when an editor decides they may want to give a game a 5 out of 5 or the "Perfect Score". After they finish the review, is it discussed amoungst the other editors? I can't imagine that this decision is something that is made lightly, especially since a 5 out of 5 doesn't mean a game is perfect but may be seen as so. I mean a 5 out of 5 says alot about a game, the impact, the reviewer's opinion and what it does differently from other games.

In an industry that shuns paying for anything, is print journalism dead?

After playing Skyrim, i believed it totally lived up to the hype. for some reason, it reminds me of the movie Avatar, which all my friends said was "the greatest movie ever" which i thought was the complete opposite. Which brings me to my question, which game have you ever been really pumped up for, and when you get it, it totally sucks?

How do would-be journalists break into the gaming industry? A common answer is to begin writing through blogging services, but how do you find an audience when you have no reputation?

My playstation 3 resently broke down and rather than pay for the $150 repair I bought a new slim. When trying to redownload my content onto my slim I found I couldn't redownload the video content I had paid for on my previous PS3. What are your thoughts on Sony taking back the content their customers already paid for in order to protect from its abuse. Given that its digital content I alreas y own shouldn't their be a system where I actually own it, damnit.

Is it possible to learn life lessons from video games, if so which games and why?
