While Microsoft's Kinect, PlayStation's Move and the WiiMotion plus are sometimes not taken seriously by "hardcore" gamers, the holidays aren't about being hardcore; they're about togetherness and fun. Everyone else digs the gimmick of motion control, so get with the program and buy your giftee one of the following awesome motion games. I promise you'll enjoy yourself too.
Even if you have two left feet, you'll be able to pop, lock and have dance battles with your relatives until after New Years. This game is note-perfect and fun for everyone. You got served!
The third Killzone is an awesome game no matter how you play it. But if you add a PlayStation Move controller and a sharpshooter attachment, the game gets even better. It's a look into the hardcore possibilities of motion control and I promise whoever you buy it for will love it.
House of the Dead Overkill: Yeah, a rail-shooter seems pretty 1996, but listen, there's still a ton of zombies to shoot, and the simplicity never becomes boring. This is just a damn addictive game.
More than just a game, Just Dance 3 is a legitimate phenomenon. You might want to pick up this title just to give your little sister a game she can beat you at.
This charming 360 game features unique gameplay and charming visuals. It's a must-have for anyone on your gift list who owns a Kinect.
Here's are a couple honorary mentions:
While Rocksmith isn't a motion game per se, it's in a class by itself. It uses your own electric guitar as a controller, and forces your fingers into utterly foreign motions as you learn how to wail on your axe.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
This Nintendo continuation of the classic series contains not only boundless adventure, but it also features the best integration of motion controls in the series to date.
