This week's Feedback might be the closest we'll ever get to a girl, on girl, on girl tickle fight! Jump on the estrogen train with Jessica Chobot, Leah Jackson, Nikole Zivalich and your lovely host Blair Herter. All aboard! Choo-choo!
Another lovely lady also joined this week's show, and her name is Zelda. If you couldn't already guess, the game of the week was The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
The AUDIO MP3 of this episode of FEEDBACK is available here: Right-click and Save.
This week's new topics included:
- I Am Alive may not be coming to the PC due to piracy concerns.
- More rumors about the next Xbox surface. This time rumors indicate the Kinect 2 may be able to read your lips.
- Fan Feedback addressed several questions from the viewers.
I propose a drinking game, with apple juice of course, where you take a shot every time Leah, Jessica or Nikole says something that needed to be bleeped out. Apple juice overload!
What did you think of this week's show?

How about a Kinect application that integrates Wolfram Alpha? How's this for marketing: "Kinect to Genius"? Millions of students would have a futuristic tutor and a great reason to ask for an Xbox from the parents.

im not a pc gamer but what ubisoft said is complete bull

Easily the worst episode I have ever viewed. So boring, especially the first 40 minutes. Why is Leah still on there? Not only annoying, but useless for actual game insight (which is why people watch the show). Where did Adam go? He is the best at G4, easily. Its like taking Steve Carrell leaving The Office. It's not that good anymore.

Why did they end up spending 3 hours on Skyward Sword's opening?
WHY?
I cleared that in LESS than an hour and a half using simple logic! EVEN WITH THE UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES!
I mean, if someone's too dumb to hold B to make text scroll by faster in scenes they can't skip, then there's just no real excuse for them to fall back on.
And, heck, specific sections didn't even require that you talk to certain people to progress.
Start the game, collect the cat. Go to the Goddess Statue, watch the cut-scene.
Go to the plaza, watch cutscene with groose.
Go to sparring hall, get your sword.[Optionally, you can talk to Owlan out front of the dorms to snag a free Wooden Shield]
Go to the waterfall, free your bird.
Do flight tutorial, go through a few more cutscenes, win race, go through important storyline bit, then get your green tunic and begin your adventure.
There's no real need to go around talking to every NPC in Skyloft to figure out where to go next.
I mean, seriously, unless you're the type who's enjoying the game so much, or the type that gets lost so easily, that you're going around exploring every single nook and cranny of the island while talking to everyone inbetween, it shouldn't take 3 hours.
And as to the motion controls?
Yeah, they aren't doing something right.
My problems with the wiimote Plus were so incredibly minimal that it wasn't even noticeable.
Never once interfered with my ability to play the game, and play it really damn well.
Ten bucks says they didn't even bother going into the Wii's settings and readjusting the sensitivity so that the pointer wasn't jumping all over the place with the slightest movement.
And then they either swung wildly, or waggled with movements so small and sharp that the Wii had a hard time reading their hands' movements.
I can't bring myself to go on from this point. There was just so much wrong with this review of Skyward that it absolutely makes me sick. They're using their own inadequacies as faults for the game in the majority of the cases they bring up against it.
It's quite obvious to me, now, why they did such a lack-luster job of representing Skyward Sword in the video they put up of the game for the currently ongoing Death Battle.
They weren't good at the game and let small flaws become big issues.
I'm disappointed in you, G4. I never thought you'd let your own inadequacies on a game reflect how you represent it on a contest.

Zelda love hella!!!
Drybones2015
My too are pointed at Nintedo too. Donkey Kong Country Returns 2 needs the Kremlings, Bees, Water Levels back, And More Buddies. That they need to release a damn time line for the Zelda series, I'm played them all, but how they all fit together is confusing.

I'm starting to think that Blair is a bit of a fraud. He raves about how great Skyrim is but he doesn't know about the Redguards? I wonder if he even played the game. Shame on all of that panel for not even knowing the tern and calling them "Redwood"..... Where's Adam :(

Zelda was great. They're just missing out

How much longer is this moron going to be hosting this show. Seriously get the $!%^ out.

My favorite commercial was the smash bros one too
Bowmanganie
I guess Blair wants black Imperials or Nords? Is that your problem Blair? Cause otherwise you're an idiot. BTW, playing a Redgard in celebration of your idiocy. Did love having the all girl panel!

The Fable 3 commercial with "Young Men Dead" from the Black Angles was cool, but full length Halo:OSDT live-action commercial and the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer are my favorites. Honorable mention to the Fable 3 commercial and the Resistance 3 live action commercial with the "Masters of War" cover by the Staple Singers. Good question.
My least favorite commercial is anyone that features Kevin Butler.

Blair Herter and Nikole Zivalich should get euthanized them for ruining this once-fantastic and truly funny show. Where did the integrity go?

Wow! Skyward Sword was amazing. I mean, just wow. I can't even wrap my mind around how much these girls missed the ball on this game. Just wow! Controls were perfect, I never hit myself in the head with the cord, They always work. When they don't I look at my wrist and realize I am making a waggle movement and not doing it right. This is the problem with having close minded people reviewing a game that is creative. This site prides itself on being hip and young, but all you do is compare games to your old favs. My first game was Zelda and OoT is my fav game of all time, but come on! Did you not get the message that every Zelda game is a dif exp when Zelda 2 came out??????? OMG! Its fine though. Every one but the "hip" people at this site knows how good this game is. So whatever, continue bitching.

most of the skyward sword "problems" I kept hearing were just awful and bs, they just suck at it and it almost seems like theyre TRYING to to find reasons to dislike it, ugh, skyward sword is short to a perfect game, zelda ftw

first off, i am sorry about my english, i graduated high school in the united states... and im half falling asleep as i write this...
i think people sometimes give others to much credit. people arent inherently good, they arent inherently bad, but they do act morally different online. People who would never steal in real life, will download and stream content they dont own. as for UbiSoft making the statement that they think 95% of the people who would play Ghost Recon Future Soldier would have pirated the game, i think it is possible. they do have basic tech to track the amount of people who play it, even though it doesnt reflect an perfectly accurate number, no number in the games industry is, NPDs never include digital purchases, and certain stores dont list their sales with npd.
maybe you forget about the story about World of Goo... "2D Boy, the guys that created World of Goo, are estimating the piracy rate of that game is around 82%. This originally came up over at Rock, Paper, Shotgun in the comments of an article about WoG's European release. One of the creators estimated that the piracy rate was about 90%. That's a big number." - PushingPlay.com
people are more likely to steal from a large corporation, than a group of 5 people trying to survive and live their dream. im going to sleep now... sorry i didnt prof reat
