According to Electronic Arts, the beautiful first-person-shooter Battlefield 3 has sold a whopping 8 million copies. The game sold 5 million copies during its first week on sale, so the increase in sales is promising for the franchise. Of course this number still pales in comparison to Battlefield 3's biggest competitor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which sold 6.5 million copies in its first 24 hours of being on sale.
- NEWS: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Already Earned $775 Million In Sales; Breaks All Box Office Records
Additionally, EA went on to say that they've now shipped 12 million copies of the game compared to the 10 million they shipped during the game's first week of release. But they didn't give a breakdown of sales per platform, so I ask you my dear fragger, which system do you think BF3 sold the most copies on? Personally, I played it on the PC.

Ok, finally played BF3 to see what all the trash talk and bickering was all about. CLEARLY, the fanboys are the only ones talkin' smack over this cuz this game just sucks, period!!!

the only reason mw3 sells more is because it is highly marketed. I work at toys r us and all the parents are going in there picking it up because their kids want it.. it's the "cool" thing to have. COD sales are not reflective of its quality, but that is the activision business model. MW3 is as good as just dance 3 since they're flying off the shelves in the exact same way.

I would say that is great news! But yes, Call of Duty still has the top sales so far (although from what I have heard, MW3 was just a copy and paste game of MW2) and they will have top sales for a while.
I hope that the new map pack can make some more sales for this game. BF3 is a wonderful game.

game is dope on the 360. i played COD n MW in the past, but this game is more addicting. graphics are georgeusly sick (cough! cough!) and audio makes it feel more real. first few weeks were rough , so i stopped palying it until a few days ago and now most of the bugs, so far, are gone and it's running better now. took a while but worth the buy for sure. now i got to figure out and learn how to fly those damb vehicles without getting shot down just after take off.

I bought Battlefield 3 for my Xbox 360. I was planning to buy it for my PC, but do to the awesomeness of the game, it would probably eat my PC. Anyways it is by far the best FPS that I have ever played in my life. For one it has that same battlefield sense with it, soldiers running from cover to cover, helicopters flying above, buildings falling down, and tanks rolling across the field, yet is comes with a new twist. I feel personally that BF3 adds more of a fast-paced and more realistic feel to it. Even at 35 fps on the 360, stuff literally flies in your face and makes you poop your pants yourself.
The graphics and audio make it seem so real, that when i actually get shot sometimes I find myself screaming in pain :P And now that they have brought Jets and prone and the 64 players to PC, it adds a lot more realism and flexibility to the game. Customization in the game is a lot more evident and balanced, so you have to pick and chose what you want and there will be advantages and disadvantages with it. I also feel that there is more of a "team" feeling with it now, as all of the classes are a lot more balanced and you really have to weigh your options when choosing a medic, sniper, support, or engineer and its a lot more adjustable to you style of play, so really no matter if you are pushing the front lines with your M16 or cruising in a F/A 18 Super Hornet 20,000 feet above the ground, you are helping the team to push the objective to win, which is the main reason that you play Battlefield.
All in all, Battlefield 3 is the most diverse, intense, and kick as FPS that has ever been. It's new additions and subtractions from previous battlefield games allow for more of a balanced and epic fight to win. Playing it teams really means that you are playing to win, as in the actual military. No matter how you play Battlefield 3, when it comes down to it, you are still a soldier playing to have fun and win.

I got it for the 360.

I play on PS3, I refuse to put origin on my computer.

I like the fact that I can play it, and still be amazing (advance, xp/level wise, etc) without having to kill someone else, and essentially equate someone else's death to game content or 'fun'. Yes, by supporting my teammates with ammo/med kits/vehicle repairs/etc, in the end, I'm helping kill others for content, because the teammate will kill them, yet that's the game, and the only way to avoid it is to not play it, and be bored out of my f-ing mind.
It's the same thing if I was in the real military; I could be a heavy duty mechanic that repairs a tank, which in turn will enable someone else to kill others. One could even say that the payroll clerk is supporting death, because they're ensuring a trained sniper is getting paid to do their job, which is popping heads.
And no Bobby Kotick...DO NOT release CoD: Wallstreet...that's not what I'm saying...lol

Bought both for 360 FTW!
hoof_hearted4
i bet xbox sold the most. ppl seem to think FPSs belong on that system or something, then Ps3 then PC....
i personally didnt buy it. (didnt buy MW3 either, cant stand CoD) but if i didnt i woulda bought it on the PS3, only cause im not comfortable with shooters on PC. even games like Mass Effect.
djisclutch
Although Call of Duty sold more the game is garb. Its way to easy guns have zero kickback with a(n) perk that reduces it even more. Sold more due to popularity not because its better. As to which console sold more why does it matter as long as you're playing.
Not_Matlock
I bought it for PC, but I'm guessing that Xbox had the most sales, then PS3, and then PC.
PC gaming is just too complicated for the general masses to figure out, so obviously the consoles will sell more.

Battlefield 3 is below and beyond the call

I would say 360 or ps3. ( you must think I am crazy right? )
Well, people are holding off because of origin. So, that is my guess.
