Those gamers who took some time to stop shooting at or beating up virtual things this holiday season probably put some time in with Turn 10 Studios' latest effort, Forza MotorSport 4, one of the few top-tier fall 2011 releases that restricts its violence to the car-on-car variety. The game's roster of more than 500 cars has been expanded already with DLC, and now another add-on is coming next week, on December 6, for 560 MS Points.
The "IGN Pack" adds 10 new rides to the game in all, which you can find listed after the break. It's a mix of old and new autos, with sports cars, muscle cars and even the odd beater. It all feeds into Turn 10's overall philosophy for the game, of letting players find the cars in the roster that have some personal value, as Forza 4 director Dan Greenawalt told G4 in a recent interview.
Note that if you bought the Forza 4 Season Pass, then you're all set with this DLC. Simply download the pack when it arrives next week. Here's the list of new rides:
- 2011 Monster Sport Suzuki SX4 (pictured)
- 2011 Mazda RX-8 R3
- 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor
- 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-396
- 1977 Ford Escort RS1800
- 1981 Volkswagen Scirocco S
- 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio Verde
- 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT
- 2010 Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4
- 1957 Maserati 300 S
Do any of these cars matter to you? I'm always a sucker for a Chevy muscle car myself, so that '67 Chevelle is a pretty sweet addition.

Quite a nice SX4 you have pictured there..

ahhh... the cars that matter to me, I am thinking the 2.5L USD STIs (that they took away :/ ), an AWD LOEB DS3 (so hard to look at the DS3's beauty knowing you can't do anything you want to it), and an AWD Mini Cooper. If you have to, even though its not a true AWD system, put in the AWD Mini Countryman so I can swap the transmission into the Cooper. The Countryman would be fun in the SUV classes anyway. That's all I really want for Christmas Forza, and maybe the ability to fine tune the ECU (Boost, Max RPM etc.) :P
You want good trucks? Chevy Syclone, and Ford Lightning, just sayin.

They need to put in a 1969 Six Barrel Road Runner in the next pack
