While putting together our PS3 Holiday Buyer's Guides we realized this was a good year to be a PS3 gamer, as I'm sure you're all well aware. It's impossible to buy every amazing exclusive though. Now's the time to make up for the titles you missed by buying yourself the gift of more PS3 games! I suppose you could also buy a gift for someone else but honestly, where is the fun in that? Check out all of our Holiday Buyer's Guides for gift ideas this holiday season.

Check out a complete list of our PS3 picks after the break.

  • Resistance 3: The third installment in Insomniac's post-apocalyptic series offers an even darker and more gripping story than the first two games in the series. Plus now it has wacky weapons! No seriously, this game offers some of the most creative and rewarding ways to shoot an alien in the head.
  • Killzone 3: Those darn Helghast are at in again in Killzone 3. This title picks up right after Killzone 2 ends so you Killzone fans won't miss a thing. It offers a stunning single player full of gorgeous warzones and an equally impressive multiplayer experience. The icing on the HD cake is that the PS Move actually works and adds to the game.
  • inFamous 2: Cole MacGrath is everyone's favorite emotionally tormented super hero. The open world super hero game from Sucker Punch is jam packed with exciting missions and moral choices that actually matter.
  • Ico and Shadow of the Colossus: Yes, we included a remake on this list, the scandal! Many of you have played these games before but I assure you, you  haven't played them like this. And for the gamers out there who haven't played Ico or Shadow of the Colossus yet, you get to experience these masterpieces for the first time in HD. You're spoiled.
  • Uncharted 3: Did you think we would get through this list and not talk about everyone's favorite Banana Republic shopper? Shame on you! Nathan Drake has a fresh pair of khakis and a new mission. Sully, Chloe, and the rest of the Uncharted crew are ready to take you on a cinematic adventure unlike any of you've ever played before. Unless you've played Uncharted 2, then it's kind of like that, but in the best possible way.

We couldn't include every rocking PS3 exclusive in this list but that doesn't mean there aren't other games you should check out this holiday season. Here are a few games that didn't make X-Play's video.

  • LittleBigPlanet 2: LBP2 is a family friendly game that exudes creativity. The game stars Sackboy, the little brother trapped in a burlap sack you've always wanted.
  • Yakuza 4: Set one year after Yakuza 3, this open-world game gives you reign over Tokyo. Think of this game as a Japanese organized crime simulator. Fun for the whole family! (Yakuza 4's sexy moments are not for the whole family.)

I hope these games make the the PS3 gamer in your life happy this holiday season. And remember nothing says I appreciate like you 1080p interactive violence.
