The holidays are all about family togetherness, and nothing brings people together like video games. Many games, though, are just not appropriate for the younger or more impressionable members of your family. With this in mind, please find the below list of family friendly video games for the holidays.
Kinect Disneyland Adventures
Real life Disneyland is pretty cool, but it's expensive and likely involves more driving than you'd like, so take your kid to virtual Disneyland and enjoy the Kinect's version of some of the park's most beloved attractions.

Sesame Street: Once Upon A Monster
Muppets and Kinect go together like rum and nog in this note-perfect game that is sure to make you say awwwww at least a dozen time before you are finished.
Kirby's Return to Dreamland
The Wii is the perfect place to get your Kirby on and enjoy this gentle platformer with three members of your family. Family is about togetherness, and so is co-op.
Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One
Speaking of co-op, Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One brings four-player, manic and crazy co-op to the PlayStation 3. This is a must buy for a family that wants to spend some holiday time together.
The Gunstringer
Any game that has a main character who is an undead marionette is okay by my family.
Plus, here's a couple of bonus picks:
Dance Central 2
There is nothing funnier at a family gathering than watching your relatives try to dance...just be careful that grandma doesn't break a hip. Dance Central 2 is an awesome game, and it'll be fun for the rest of the family to actually beat the hardcore gamer of the house at something.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim
While this ultra-violent, bloody role-playing game seems like a bad choice for a family gathering, if you commit to a path of non-violence, you can still have a good time designing a character, looking at the sights, and working at the blacksmith shop... Then, when the kids go to bed, get to killing!

I agree with Kirby's Return to Dream Land; it was a lot of fun and excellent 4-player co-op.
Rayman Origins and Little Big Planet 2 should have on the family games list.

There's one glaring omission in my opinion.
Rayman Origins: It takes the formula of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and assaults your senses with amazing, cartoon-like, hand drawn visuals and a catchy, whimsical soundtrack. It's artistic creativity is unrivaled by anything this generation. It harkens back to a period in gaming where creativity and fantasy drove the medium, while also embracing the technological advancements today provides. It's simply a masterpiece.

Strangely enough, I must agree with the addition of Skyrim to this list. My 4-year old daughter loves watching me force shout my companions off cliffs and watching them slide down the mountains only to come running back up relatively unharmed.
