Assassin's Creed II's

Assassin's Creed 3's location and plot may be reader's choice. According to Empire State Gamer, a survey has been circulating prompting its applicants to choose the historical period of "one of the next" Assassin's Creed game. Some of the choices include "The violent conflicts of the Imperial Dynasties in Medieval China" and "The rise of the Cesar's Empire in Ancient Rome."

Keep reading for a list of all the choices.

And the choices are...

  • The violent conflicts of the Imperial Dynasties in Medieval China.
  • The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England.
  • The culmination of the Pharaoh Reign in Ancient Egypt.
  • The invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors.
  • The confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during The American revolution of the XVIII century.
  • The overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communist during the Russian Revolution.
  • The Warlord Battles in Feudal Japan.
  • The rise of the Cesar's Empire in Ancient Rome.

As someone who was given a word count to hit for all my essays in high school, I have to say this survey used some top notch adjectives. Wording aside, these are all amazing choices for a video games but not necessarily for Assassin's Creed. I think the invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors and the confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during The American revolution would make incredibly interesting, and dare I say educational, games, but Desmond should not be involved.

The direction I'd like to see Assassin's Creed 3 go involves the Imperial Dynasties in Medieval China, and Warlord Battles in Feudal Japan. Assassin's Creed meets Jade Empire or Shogun: Total War? Yes, please. Ancient Egypt would make sense too.

Where do you want the next Assassin's Creed game to take place?

If the next Assassin's Creed game was set in Japan and the main character was a ninja, I'd buy like 6 copies.

I would say one of these 3 would be the best:

The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England.

The invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors.

The confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during The American revolution of the XVIII century.

Victorian Era England, where you play as Jack the Ripper, an assassin framed by the Templars. The woman he murdered were all templar agents and all he did was kill them. The templars mutilated their bodies and blamed it on Jack.

The thing about the Assassins Creed locations are that they take place in highly populated areas/cities, so that removes Egypt, the Conquistadors, and the American Revolution to me. All the other choices have potential for large city venues. My top choices would be Victorian England (Jack the Ripper connection?), Feudal Japan, or Imperial China. Caesar's Rome would be too similar to the rest of the games. I do like the suggestion of Revolutionary France. The Russian one would be too modern, too many guns i.e. Hitman. They could do a Mediterranean setting (Rome, Greece, Egypt, Carthage) and add a seafaring aspect to the game like ship-hopping, pirating, naval battles, etc.

I would personally like to see the next game delve into Desmond's story line and take a present time-line instead of viewing another ancestor. I mean it's great and all, but i'm tired of the bits and pieces of Desmond in the present, and I want to get deeper into that story and experience the life of an assassin in the present time.

I see China, Victorian England or Russia making the most sense.

The overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communist during the Russian Revolution. Just saying it I can easily see the Assassin/Templar dynamic. Would be an awesome locale for an Assassin's Creed game. Also it isn't difficult to see a Desmond ancestor being Russian (much easier than say Chinese/Japanese). I definitely hope it is Russia.

I firmly believe that there are two options for the next setting other than the present: those are either Medieval China or during the research of Juno, Minerva, and the other one (i cant remember the name sorry ha). I only think China because of the Embers video but I feel that would be too random and quite frankly it doesnt seem that Desmond has any Chinese in his DNA. However, I think that during the time of Those Who Came Before would be the PERFECT setting. Mainly because that's where the game left off story wise. Juno telling Desmond that he needs to rediscover his research and continue it to stop the world from ending.
either way i assume the story will have something to do with that and Juno's research and I have full faith that Ubisoft will give us a spectacular finale to end this adventure.
lemme know what you guys think though. feel free to rip my theory apart as well haha.

Sigh. Every single one of Nikole's posts comes with at least one type. It's distracting.

As for the list, I can see them doing multiple time periods, and I think they should be moving forward in history as they progress through the series, as opposed to going back to say, Ancient Rome (as much as I'd love to see that). Besides, they already did the location of Rome, so I say its time for something new.

Russia or England would be rich in history and a wonderful setting.

Hmmm, I'll be honest, Assassins Creed in Feudal Japan would be my first choice. Second would be the British Empire in Victorian England, although maybe if it were around the time of King James in England, that might actually make for a good story.

i think egypt wouldn't be too bad because in all of the assassin's creed games there has been "Artifacts" that people were trying to possess for power and Egyptians always had those and to this day they still have many secrets that cannot be explained so i think assassin's creed could use that to their advantage.

*jump off eiffle (however you spell it) tower. = legit.
native american would be lame. i mean. were walking around in a robe thing yes? i still wanna fight with a sword too much guns and bows and arrows with native americans. they need to stick to a similar timeline if their gonna make this good. it needs to make sense still..

I think that they could possibly combine both Egypt and the Rise of Caesar. That rise of Julius and Octavian is one of the most compelling stories in history, let alone if you add a bit of Sci-fi to the mix.

The choice is obvious. Punch you in the jeans. And Rome.
