There's been a bit of a fan outcry around Konami's upcoming Silent Hill HD Collection release, which lumps high-def revisions of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 onto a single disc. Fans are okay with that bit; what they're upset about is the newly recorded voice dub, which replaces each game's original dialogue tracks.
Well now those unhappy fans can cut their sadness in half. Konami confirmed in a Facebook update that the original audio track will be included as an option for Silent Hill 2. "Technical and logistical" factors prevented the same from being included in SH3, but one out of two is better than none out of two, right?
The Silent Hill HD Collection will be in stores on January 24, 2012.
