Metal Gear Solid 5 has been announced and the legendary Hideo Kojima will be developing the next installment. We currently don't have any details surrounding the next MGS game, but it's probably safe to assume that it'll be coming to a PlayStation (we're not sure if that means PlayStation 3 or 4 though), as the first details of the game are scheduled to be revealed as part of the December issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine UK.
When we have more info to go on we'll be sure to let you know about it. Until then, let's hear some speculation about the new MGS. Where do you want it to be set? Will it feature cardboard boxes?

Also i understand that kojima wanted to kill off snake, but why did he have to old LOL i guess it makes it more believeable that snake would die if he were old but sh@t lol if he was just planning on this sh@t anyways why kill him instead of just dragging him out but i mean from an artistic point of view it makes sense disregard my rambling lmao

Here's my thought
i put these in order of how likely they would be made in my opinion
A. Big Boss uprising pre-south Africa/outer heaven(Militaires sans frontieres)
B. remakes of both Outer Heaven/zanzibarland disturbance
C. Solid's story Pre-outer heaven(how snake got into foxhound)
D. Another Dragged out Big Boss Game
or E. highly unlikely like Ninja said a game post mgs4 but the only problem with that is basically the whole world is at peace because of the stuff that happened and fox-die didn't make snake age the reason why snakes age has progressed is because the les enfants terribles were designed to die early and to also be fertile
but also they could do almost a narrative story based on the novel otacon wanted to write based on Solid's life

I would love to see a MGS game based around Liquid Snake with Cam Clarke as his voice as it was in the very first MGS.

Does any one remember that Sunny and Naomi made the cure to fox die and solid snake took it so his nanomachines are replaced so it made his ageing go away

Guys there will NOT be a snake in the next one Patriots was the last MGS for our beloved snake but there is still a biiig period of his life we don't know about... They could also remake the old nintendo games....

My guess is either game takes place around the same time as Rising (only with Snake as the main character) or it takes place after MGS4 with a new main character who is somehow related to Snake, maybe even clone (which is entirely possible in this series).

Well, he said there were plans to kill off Snake. You know, finalizing the end of the series. But if that's the case, who's the lead character? Personally, I want a semi RPG element where you're taught by the bad guys and end up killing him. Though, stick to the good old stealth. Not that Rising "hunting stealth" stuff.

um sony shouldnt release a ps4 not for a while considering that the have not mastered their system yet. Also that they havent released enough big title games for it. But good luck sony.

ohh hell yeah if metal gear solid 4 was this is going to be stright bada$sness kojima really know how to make a story that can draw you alway from the real world for a few hours its like pot without the high

I love MGS, and I love Kojima-san's work as a developer... but seriously, MGS4 seemed like a fitting end for the story, and Peacewalker resolved all the loose ends from the history. I really don't see the point in more MGS at this point. I'm sure Mr.Kojima can make an amazingly stellar new series, or revist some of his older ones (Zone of the Enders comes to mind).

That's great news! I wonder who is going to be the main character? We didn't actually see Solid Snake die in the last game. But maybe he is going to do a remake of the original game with Big Boss as the villain. That would be really cool. But it will probably be a long time before he reveals anything about it.

A Metal Gear Solid game without snake is not a MgS game, just remember the poorly made game with Solid Snake which came as a huge failure.
MGS 4 was amazing and the story in it was a absolut masterpiece.
So my bet is that they will either go way back to the begining of snake�s life or do a true ending to Snakes life with flashbacks to the key points.

That's the best news I've heard since I lost my job last year due to MGO.I don't understand how this couldn't have come any sooner;bring on the Rising,bring on the Snake(solid or naked).I don't really want to even think that I have to buy a new system to play these games.Why would I?The ps3 is capable of so much.There is no copy cat as of this day when it comes to Metal Gear.Long live the snake!!
