Feedback's Question Of The Week

Feedback viewers and TheFeed readers, I give to you a chance to ask the Feedback panel a question. We're putting together the script for next week's show but one thing is missing: you! In the comment section below, you can ask us any video game question you want.

If you write a concise question based on current video game topics you may be chosen. If we pick your question, you'll win a mystery prize.

With xenoblade chronicles finally coming to the states what are the chances of last story coming? And with no major games announced for 2012 by Nintendo is this the end for the wii?

If we were to see a rebirth of Killer Instinct, could it survive with all the other fighting games out on the market?

Tired of constant war between consoles... Will there ever really be interconsole gaming? Where Xbox Live players can play, say MW3 versus someone on Playstation 3? If I want to buy an Xbox because I like it I would still like to play versus friends that have Playstation!

    Round Robin:
With Bethesda's new Creation Engine what other IP's, from any dev/publisher, would you like to see use it or make something comparable.
    Example:
Think about Skyrim...now think about Pokemon in Skyrim...see what I mean ;p

With the Game Of The Year awards great body approaching us. I remember Adam Sesslers disdain toward numerical scores. I feel he has a point not that I don t find numerical scores informative its just that there is something about them that brings out the Cro-Magnon in us. I love the Game Of The Year awards but isn t this kind of the same thing? These developers are working tooth and nail many times to put out a product that we enjoy. Only to have us pit their work against another s in a battle to the death and say this is game of the year? What s even more confusing is that most of the time these games are completely alike and have nothing to do with each other yet they are compared to each other. Its just a thought I love Game of the year awards. Just asking do you have a feeling that the GOY awards body many times can have an ugly face?

This question is short & to the point: How do you think SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) is going to effect the gaming (esp. online) community if it's passed?

Do you think that the influence of casual games on hardcore games will eventually stop or increase to the point where hardcore games are no longer AAA titles?

While the public treatment of video games has greatly improved in the past years, games are still often treated as a "lesser" form of entertainment compared to other mediums such as books and movies. How far have video games come in terms of mainstream respect for the medium? How will games been perceived in the future?

While the public image of video games has improved in the past years, games are still perceived to be a "lesser" form of entertainment even compared to similar mediums such as movies. How far do you feel we have come in terms of mainstream respect for the medium and how much farther do we have to go?

With all the complaints about Assassins Creed series becoming an annual release, it still seems to put out amazing games every year that a majority of people love. Do you think that since (unlike COD) there is nothing quite like Assassins Creed out there and that (also unlike COD) despite having multiplayer the game doesn't warrant much play after completion. This leaves a real 12 months between playing the games where COD is played year round until the next one with virtually no break in between them.

I don't know if this was discussed on the last segment or not about the glitches of Skyrim. There is the PS3 save file glitch that is becoming widely talked about on the Internet to the point that IGN and Kotaku are conducting polls about what problems PS3 Skyrim players are having. I would like to know the staff's opinions on this and whether they have experienced them if they played the game on the PS3. Personally, I've only had the game freeze up a few times on me and my roommates have experienced that as well but it hasn't kept us from playing the game like so many others refuse to do until a patch is created by Bethesda to fix the problem.

Do you think that it would make skyrim an easier game to navigate if they had optional four digit to six digit grid squares and highlighted roads which you can turn on or off. By doing so would this make it easier to tell friends and other gamers locations of items and places to visit without having to guess exactly were they are.

Is the Wii U lacking the credit it deserves? Is it that people don't quite understand the full potential or is it that people were expecting a microchip that inserts in their brain? Do you think the community would be happier if the system was portable and was capable of more than one touch screen controller?

I'm most curious as to how the RPG and MMO fans feel about the possibility of playing their favorite games on console, whether handling their loadouts, managing spells, ect. would be too cubbersome on a touch screen or do they see the true potential?

How do you feel when game companies released a short trailer go a screen shot and not explain what the game will be about or what will be in it?

As with probably 6 million other gamers I have immersed myself in Skyrim; I'm currently I'm a level 21 Redguard. I realize that joining a guild is part of the core gameplay, yet I haven't done it yet because I've been busy doing other things within Skyrim. But I'm curious as to if any of you have joined a guild yet, and if so which one and why?

    Dear Feedback,

I sometimes hear Japanese developers say that you can't have a good story in a game with open world or sandbox environments. But judging by the lackluster story from Final Fantasy XIII and the confusing monstrosity of Metal Gear Solid, I believe this is not the case. Games like Batman Arkham City and the Assassin's Creed Series are proof enough that you can get a deep rich story with open environments. What do you guys think about this and is there a reason why Japanese game developers are resistant to these types of games?

    Your fan since the beginning,
