Metal Gear Solid Rising Doesn't Use MGS4 Engine

Kojima Productions producer Shigenobu Matsuyama has been taking the lead on Metal Gear Solid: Rising since series creator Hideo Kojima announced last summer that he was stepping away from the upcoming game. Now Matsuyama is following Kojima's lead, passing the producer role torch once again, this time to Yuji Korekado.

The news was confirmed in the Twitter feed of Kojima Productions' Kenichiro Imaizumi (via Andriasang). There's no word on whether this turn of events will impact plans to reveal more of Rising at the VGAs in a few weeks, but my guess would be no. Korekado will continue his work on Zone of the Enders HD while taking the reigns on MGS.
