Minecraft Sales Pass 1 Million Mark

It's been a long, strange two-year trip for Mojang, but the studio's blocky world-building game Minecraft has finally gone "gold," creator Markus "Notch" Persson confirms on Twitter. This means that the version fans will be able to buy "new" on November 18 is completely ready for showtime.

This is a little misleading, as any existing Minecraft fans probably own the beta already, which means that no purchase will be necessary come November 18. You'll just update your game again, as you have many times before. Expect more content too; Notch has been very up front about his plans to keep tinkering with Minecraft. Don't be fooled into thinking that the game is DONE now. It's just ready for release. Big difference.
