You might remember a little rumor popping up late last week concerning Microsoft and a potential new console reveal for January's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. I didn't believe the rumor at the time and that's even more true now, thanks to confirmation from 343 Industries' Frank O'Connor that Halo 4 is, in fact, Xbox 360-bound.
It started with a NeoGAF thread in which fans started wondering why 343 didn't discuss the engine Halo 4 would be using at E3, speculating that the secrecy might relate to the game being a launch title for the next console. O'Connor quickly dispelled the belief with a post of his own, writing, "Halo 4 will be on Xbox 360 and use a modified core of the Halo engine(s). Not really a singular engine since it goes through fairly radical evolutions all the time."
So there you have it. Halo 4. Xbox 360 game. Confirmed.

This proves that Xbox 720 won't be coming out in 2012. Rumors had the new console coming 2012. But there still might a Halo 4 version on Xbox 720 in 2013 or 2014.

What's to say the Halo 4 won't also be on the "NEW" Xbox system? Burger king games did it and King kong released on both Xbox and Xbox 360. All this guy did was confirm that it would be released on the 360. But from what I could tell never said that that would be the only system. My guess for the new xbox system is that it will be released November 2012 and it will be digital content downloads only. They hate Gamestop and a great way to control there market.

Why would Halo 4 be on the PS3? 343i works for MS, I think you are all still thinking about Bungie being in control of Halo, who's next game will be for all the consoles because they are partnered with Activision now.

I had 3 different xbox 360,got my first 1 day 1 and sent all of them to microsoft cuz all got RRD,finally i sold it after microsoft sent me a new 1 with a controller now a proud owner of a ps3 with free online.

I still believe the new Xbox will be release in Fall 2013. Just because Halo 4 is being shipped for Xbox 360 doesn't disprove a new Xbox coming in two years time. You'll have had Halo 4 for a year come the time the new system is out, nothing wrong with that. I mean it suits the model that Call of Duty follows, buy a game in the fall and get ready to buy another one the following year. Simple business.

Im on my like 6th xbox 360 but by choice, they all work!!! One of them did get the red ring of eath at one point but even out of warranty M$ fixed it for free. And not to knock Sony hut since all their fan boys are on here idk how my OG 60gb ps3 got the yellow light since I hardly used it and they wanted $150 to fix it

Believe it or not I'm still running on my original day 1 launch xbox 360. It's barely chugging along but it's diffinitely got some fight left in it.
Just last a couple more years for me baby until the next gen system is out lol.
