RPG fans: I'll bet you already know that Skyrim is out today for the PC, 360 and PS3, and, while you probably won't need DLC for a fair bit, if you're already thinking ahead, here's some news for you: Skyrim's first two pieces of downloadable content are a timed exclusives that will hit the 360 a month before they are available on any other platform.
If you're wondering when this DLC will be released, you'll have to be content with this quote from press release:
"When the last dragon has been slayed and the last book opened, Xbox LIVE will be your destination for exclusive access to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim add-on content. 30 days before you find it anywhere else, the first two content drops for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be available exclusively on Xbox LIVE."
So Xboxers should mark their calendar for "When the last dragon has been slayed," and everyone else should mark their calendar for a month after the aforementioned final dragon slaying. When we hear more about Skyrim DLC, we'll tell you; we promise.

This makes no since.The article says:"When the last dragon has been slayed and the last book opened".The last book opened is the ELDER SCROLL,and the last dragon slayed is ALDUIN so whoever did both should get the dlc.P.S why do people with xbox360s get the dlc first?

I have a level 68 character and have beat the game and i still find my self playing it, but im ready for new game add ons. I think it would realy be neat if you could play the game with other people online and trade items and play the game with them as well as battling each other, but so far the game is still outstanding, i realy hope they pick up on that i think it would make the Elder Scolls Sererious the best RPG game every made.

Well, I guess that since the PS3 has so many technological advantages (don't argue because it's been proven) and that software is harder to develop because of the sheer quality of it, PS3 users have it about the same, I mean, Sony isn't being greedy and making us pay for online. However, I pity PC users because they still have to wait even though the DLC isn't that much more difficult, maybe easier (hard to tell), than the XBox 360's.

i have a level 57 character but haven't beat the game because i choose not to. i have beat morrowind and oblivion though and the expansions for both were awesome so i hope that bethesda keeps up the good work. and i wish they would hurry up with it

if they make a multi player add on they should make it so if people do something in your world it doesn't affect my world only affects the other persons world not mine and my actions only affect my game if i go to someone elses world

Skyrim is probaly the best Elder Scrolls game so far but i beat it and all of the daedra quest what do you do now and i found pretty much all locations. And give bethesda some time the longer it takes the better it will be

wait a minute arent all games created on PCs and then converted for consoles. so with that in mind why the hell is the DLC comeing out for 360 first. fine bring it out for 360 b4 ps3 but for the love of god why wait to bring it out for PC.
Actually scratch that bring them out for all formats at the same time. iam sick of PC gamers getting a bum deal beacuse of pirates downloading games and dragging down the market (although i dont know what would of happend if i didnt get it for christmas Bless you mum and dad)

Besides wasnt TES originally made for PC and then put onto consoles after it became populer.

They need to make skyrim at least two player, I mean single player is amazing but multiplayer would be absolutely dominating. I mean who wants to play an amazing rpg (like skyrim) by themselves? It would be better if you could play with a friend, for say you are fighting a group of enemies and you need a lil help, well your friend casts a few spells or sneaks behind them and cuts there throat. now wouldn't that be just astonishing?

It would be cool if they made a dlc that adds a new companion to the game,it could access your oblivion saves and makes a companion that has your oblivion persons name and the armor that they had on last. They could be a descendant of your oblivion's character.

Ha! knowing Bethesda, they were probably working on the DLC months before the games release. Its what makes em so good. They design the game around it!...While playing, do u see a road that suddenly ends? A row of camps empty of life. A locked door with no key to be found?.. Perhaps a cave with a collapsed passage, or a lonely path that just feels like something is missing, what about an island in the distant lakes with nothing but a rock to keep it company?
Chances are good, you found a future site of DLC...the clues are there..kinda makes it feel incomplete :/.... I had that feeling alot while playing oblivion for the ps3.(only 2 of the DLCs available)..Years later i got an xbox along with all the DLC available; and sure enough..The camps*once empty* were filled with raiders holding stolen artifacts, The dead-end road held a castle; The lonely path a tower, and to that door, I now have a key safely snug in my inventory.
Shame on you Bethesda..teasing me with a brand new game. only to tease me more as i play it..with your DLCs and clues to what might be. Take note of your surroundings fellow gamers... ;) I'm getting skyrim tomorrow..and also dark souls. needless to say..my social life will drop to nothing. I can already see my skin paled from lack of sunlight...oh well, its winter. There is no sun in cloudy mountains regions any way. =)

Wait, TES has a large (massive) PC base. Does XBL also mean GfWL too? Why not drop on both MS systems at the same time?

I honestly dont understand what people have against the xbox... so what I pay for online service. do you know why I pay for online service? Because the online service is by far the best of the 3 markets not to mintion im not even sure why this came up in the topic because you dont have to have gold to download DLC. Ive been a fan of xbox since 2001 and thus far it has never personally let me down, I understand that it had a rocky start with redrings but the problem is virtually extinct. I would purchase a PS3 but the games that are on it just havent sold me on it yet; right now the only justification for me to buy a PS3 is that im wanting a bluray player so might as well buy one that dubs as a gaming console. what im trying to say is and i dont think i conveyed it very well in the above is that play on what ever console you want and that you love. we all love gaming so instead of crapping on each other lets actually celebrate what we love to do.

I think they should give us a mini dlc for cheap while we wait for the first one. I'm thinking a shout that lets you ride a dragon!
